The Hybrids

Your eyes fluttered open and you were met with disappointment when you realized you were still in the cage. At least you were in your human form again. You struggled to stand on your feet as you held onto the bars of the cage and pulled yourself up.

"Hello, is anyone there?" You called out.

You scanned the dark room surrounding your cage and your eyes landed on a dark figure leaning against the far wall.

"Loki?" You asked cautiously.

The dark figure did not reply, he remained incredibly still and continued to stare at you. You became uncomfortable under the sharp gaze of the man's electric blue eyes.

"Who are you!" You asked as your voice shook slightly from the fear you were trying so hard to hide.

The man started moving towards you slowly but you still couldn't see his face. His eyes remained focused on you as he continued to advance towards you.

"Who the hell are you!" You shouted as the mysterious man came closer still.

He stopped a few feet from your cage and raised a gloved hand to his face. He pressed his finger against his lips to silence you. You backed away from him as he took a step forward. His hand dropped back down to his side as he stood right outside your cage. You wanted to scream for help, but you found that you couldn't speak suddenly. The fear in your eyes grew as you realized you were alone with this strange man.

He extended a finger and motioned for you to come towards him. You began battling against yourself as your mind screamed no, but your body betrayed you. You slowly walked towards the man and he grinned when the only thing separating you two, was the cage bars. He reached a hand through the cage and put his finger under your chin to lift your head up towards him. You couldn't look away from his eyes, they were almost hypnotic. You were so dazed that you didn't even notice you were out of the cage now. You swayed slightly as his electric blue eyes held your gaze captive still.

He put his hands on your shoulders and leaned your head to the side to expose your neck. You went along with it since you were so deep in his hypnotic eyes that you didn't have a clue what was happening. The man smiled wickedly and revealed two razor sharp fangs dripping deadly venom. He moved his head down to your neck just as someone brought a blade to the man's head and chopped it off. You blinked multiple times as you slowly came back to senses once those electric blue eyes weren't hypnotizing you anymore. You felt someone grab onto your shoulders and when your eyes focused, you saw Loki.

"Darling are you alright?" Loki panicked.

"What happened?" You asked in confusion. You looked around and left out a small gasp when you saw the decapitated body and the head a few feet away.

"What was he?" You asked while staring at the head. The man's eyes were a dull grey instead of the blue.

"He was a Naga, half cobra half human." Loki explained as he held onto you tightly.

"Loki, you're squeezing me to death!" You joked as Loki slowly released you.

"Y/n, if he would have bitten you...you wouldn't have made it through the night." Loki said seriously.

"Oh." You whispered.

"Come with me, Fury, Steve, Tony, Natasha, and I managed to capture one of the creatures."  Loki said.

"I thought you couldn't tell if someone was a creature?" You said confused.

"Well it wasn't hard to figure it out, he was chewing on an agent." Loki explained.

"What! He was EATING an agent!?" You exclaimed in disbelief and horror.

You walked behind Loki as he went into a room and revealed a man tied to a chair in the middle of the room. The man smiled widely at Loki as if he was enjoying being tied up. When the man's gaze fell on you he struggled against his ropes suddenly with a hungry look in his eyes as he stared at you like you were a piece of meat. The sudden action scared you and caused you to jump slightly. The man licked his lips and continued to stare at you in a predatory way. Loki put an arm around you to keep you behind him and out of the man's gaze.

"I bet you taste delicious," The man smiled wickedly as he licked his lips once more, "I've never tried a shifter before, you look good enough to eat." He laughed wickedly.

"What is he?" You whispered to Loki.

"He's a kaftar...half man, half hyena, half asshole." Loki replied.

"Now that's funny," the man laughed, "You know what else is funny, the fact that I can rip your throats out before you could even blink." The man boasted through a smile.

"Enough!" Loki shouted to shut the man up.

"My apologies your highness." The man let out a hyena like laugh that sent shivers down your spine.

"Why are you interested in y/n, what do you want with her?" Loki demanded.

"What do I," The man let out another horrific laugh, "I don't want anything to do with her! He wants her." The man was laughing nonstop.

"Who's he?" Loki demanded.

"You don't know!" Apparently Loki's lack of knowledge of this 'he' was hysterical because the man was shrieking with laughter.

"Answer the damn question!" Loki shouted as he slammed his hands on the man's chair.

"No, I don't think so." The man grinned.

Loki smiled right back which was a little creepy. Suddenly, Loki brought a blade down on the man's hand and cut off a finger.

The man screeched in pain and growled at Loki with his set of sharp fangs bared.

"Now, answer the fucking question!" Loki growled back.

"Go ahead kill me, you think I'm the only one whose after your little plaything, there's hundreds of people like me who are willing to do anything to bring your little slut to the alpha!"

Loki's eyes darkened when the man referred to you with such vulgar words. Before you could stop him, Loki brought his larger dagger to the man's throat and chopped his head clean off. It rolled off the man's shoulders and fell to the ground with a sickening thud.

"Well, I guess he was done talking then." Steve said awkwardly.

"What do we do, the joker said there are hundreds of others out there jumping at the opportunity to take y/n to whoever that alpha freak is." Tony said.

"Loki you need to tell us everything you know about these hybrid freaks so we know what we're up against." Natasha stated.

"You're gonna need to take notes." Loki said.

"Loki, how many different kinds of hybrids are there?" You asked him softly.

"Pretty much every species you can think of." He answered.

"Oh, well that's just fucking fantastic!" Tony exclaimed.

"There's the basic hybrids; lions, cats, dogs, wolves, bears, that type of stuff.
Then there's the more exotic hybrids; snakes, squirrels, foxes, pretty much every small animal you can think of.
Then there's the more rare hybrids; piranhas, falcons, tarantula, bats, pretty much most reptiles."

"Back up, there's a tarantula hybrid!?" Peter exclaimed with shock.

"Why are you scared of a tarantula, you are a spider!" Tony shouted.

"That's not the same thing at all!" Peter argued.

"Not to interrupt your little father son moment, but I think we have company." Natasha spoke up.

Everyone shut up immediately and that's when you heard the sound of footsteps coming towards you, multiple sets of feet.

"I vote we get out of here!" Peter whispered loudly as you all turned down a hallway.
