"Y/n? We're home." You heard Peter say.

You slowly opened your eyes, blinking furiously as they adjusted to the light. You sat up from leaning against Peter and yawned.

"What time is it?" You asked sleepily.

"Almost two in the afternoon." Peter answered.

"It feels like ten o'clock at night." You groaned.

He stood up as the jet landed gracefully. He turned to you and held out his hand. You smiled and took his hand to stand up, but he snapped his hand back with a yelp.

"Y/n! You're super hot!"

"Thanks, but you're my best friend." You said jokingly with a chuckle.

You didn't miss the way Loki's expression darkened at your words.

"No, no, no, I mean you're literally burning hot!" Peter exclaimed with worry.

"I feel a little warm, but I'm not hot enough to fucking burn someone when they touch me. Stop being so dramatic."

Tony walked over to you and reached for your arm. When his fingers made contact with your skin he pulled back immediately, hissing a bit while shaking his hand.

"What the hell?" Tony said in question.

"What's happening to me?" You panicked as you felt a beat of sweat running down your face.

Loki was next to you in an instant and he put his hand on your arm.

"Loki! Don't it..." You stopped talking as you noticed that Loki was not at all effected by your sudden change in temperature.

"Wha—"

"Frost giant." Loki interrupted you.

He slowly took his hand off your arm and looked up at Thor with a questionable look on his face.

"What? Do you know what's happening?" You asked.

Loki just continued looking at Thor like they were having a conversation but they weren't talking.

"What?" You demanded as you stood up which was a mistake.

"I don't feel so good." You mumbled as your vision blurred and your head spun.

Loki caught you in his arms when he saw you pass out and he held you close to his chest. His shirt suddenly vanished as he was holding you.

"What the hell are you doing!" Tony yelled at Loki.

"I'm trying to cool her down. Unless you want me to let her suffer."

Tony didn't say anything back, he just continued glaring at Loki.

"We need to take her to Asgard." Loki said looking at Tony. Clint, Steve, Natasha, and Peter all looked worried for you.

"You're not taking her anywhere!" Tony shouted at him.

Loki was losing his patience. "Do you want her to die? Because that is what will happen if we don't take her to Asgard right now!" Loki shouted back at Tony.

"What do you mean she's going to die?" Peter asked with panicked concern.

"When one of the robots cut her, their blade must have been laced with some kind of deadly poison. Her temperature is only going to continue to rise until her insides quite literally melt." Loki finished explaining.

"What can Asgard do for her?" Steve asked.

Thor answered this time. "They can keep her stable until they come up with an antidote for the toxins in her system."

"How long will it take?" Natasha asked.

"Hours, days we don't know." Thor said.

"Whatever you do, you save her, you understand me." Tony commanded while looking at Loki.

"I will not let her die. I promise you on my own life." Loki told him.

"You better not let her die, because your life is what I'll be going after if she does."

There was a flash of light and then Thor and Loki were gone with you in Loki's arms.
