"I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that reindeer games loved someone, much less someone was in love with that psycho." Tony said as he stared at Loki from the security screens.

"He may be lost right now, but that is still my brother." Thor exclaimed.

"Whatever point break." Tony patted Thor on the back as he walked by him.

"So, what do you think? We find this girl and then Loki just hands over the tesseract?" Bruce said with doubt.

"First off, how the hell do you expect to find his mystery girl? We don't know the first thing about her, hell, we don't even know if she's still alive." Steve added.

"Maybe we can get Loki to tell us, like trick him into it?" Natasha suggested.

"You really think you're gonna be able to trick the trickster? He's not really one to sit down and talk about his feelings." Bruce spoke.

"You guys weren't in there, he's in pain. I can get him to talk!" Natasha insisted.

A sudden blast threw everyone off their feet, before anyone could argue with Nat.

"What the fuck was that?!" Natasha shouted.

"An engine was destroyed." Fury informes the team over the coms.

"Agent Barton." Hill added.

"I'm on it." Natasha said as she ran off to find Clint.

Another blast sounded throughout the halls and several alarms started blaring.

"No!" Thor shouted as he saw Loki's cell door sliding open from the security screens. Thor hurried into the room, but by the time he got there, Loki was gone.

Clint woke up strapped to a hospital bed. Natasha was sitting next to him as he strained against his bonds, breathing heavily.

"Clint, you're gonna be alright." Natasha assured him.

"You know that? Is that what you know? I gotta go in though. I have to flush him out." Clint replied.

"You gotta level out, it's gonna take time." Natasha spoke.

"You don't understand. Have you ever had someone take your brain and play? Pull you out and stuff something else in? You know what it's like to be unmade?"

"I do." Natasha answered as she lowered her head slightly.

"Why am I back? How did you get him out?" Clint asked.

"Cognitive recalibration. I hit you really hard on the head." Natasha added when she saw Clint's confused face.

"Thanks." Clint said as Natasha began undoing his restraints. "Loki. He get away?" Clint asked.

"Yeah. I don't suppose you know where?" Natasha smiled softly as she finished undoing his restraints.

"Didn't need to know. Didn't ask. He's gonna make his play soon though. Today."

"We gotta stop him." Natasha declared.

"Yeah? Who's we?" Clint asked.

"I don't know. Whoever is left."

"Well, if I put an arrow through Loki's eye socket, I'd sleep better I suppose."
