"Now, who was this woman you spoke of?" Thor asked as he turned to Loki.

"Look brother, it's been fun and everything, but I don't work well with other people." Loki announced.

"I haven't noticed." Thor rolled his eyes.

"Goodby—" Loki suddenly dropped to the ground, his body jerking in unnatural ways.

"Brother!" Thor shouted as he dropped beside Loki, not sure how to help him.

Just as sudden as it happened, it stopped. Loki's shaking body stilled and he regained his breath.

"Brother, what was that? What happened?" Thor asked as he helped Loki to his feet.

Loki's face was pale, his eyes wide and darting from side to side, his mind reeling, and his breathing heavy.

"Loki?" Thor tried again.

"We must go to Sakaar." Loki stated.

"What?" Thor asked confused.

"The planet Sakaar." Loki replied.

"I know what Sakaar is," Thor snapped, "Why must we go there?"

"Just trust me." Loki sighed.

"When has that ever benefited me?" Thor crossed his arms.

"Really, right now, you're doing this right now?" Loki huffed.

"Yes. Now tell me why we must go to Sakaar!" Thor demanded.

"I can not." Loki said simply.

"Then I can not trust you brother."

"Well then, I guess this is where we part." Loki smiled before he put his fingers together.

"Brother don't—!" Thor started but it was too late, Loki had already snapped his fingers, leaving Thor alone.

Loki teleported himself to the planet Sakaar alone. He found himself in a strange palace sort of place. He was unfamiliar with this planet and the fact that he knew a bare minimum about it, did not ease his mind. He hadn't even made it ten steps when a handful of guards stopped him.

"Trespassing, you will answer to the Grandmaster for your crime." One of the guards snarled.

Loki went along with them willingly, not sure what he had gotten himself into. The guards surrounded him as they escorted him down the halls and into a large, open spaced room. There was a strange looking man sitting on a throne of sorts, observing the way Loki behaved.

"State your name." The man waved his hand almost in boredom.

"I am Loki of Asgard—"

"Why are you trespassing Loki?" The man asked.

"I did not mean it. I was brought here." Loki explained confidently.

"Did Carlo bring you here?" The man questioned.

"Yes." Loki answered without hesitation.

"Of course he did." The man laughed, "What happened to my manners? I haven't properly introduced myself. Come on, follow me." The man motioned for Loki to follow him as he stood up from his throne and made his way to the halls.

Loki hide his smirk as he walked past the guards and followed after the man.

"My name is Grandmaster. I preside over a little harlequinade called the Contest of Champions. People come from far and wide to unwillingly participate in it. And you, my friend, might just be part of the new cast. What do you say to that?"
