"Are you ready?" I ask my near full grown sister, Katie. Two years this wedding was planned and now she is living the day of her dreams.
"I, I think so." She responds turning to face me.
I then give her a hug before walking out to the scenery of the wedding. I spot my husband of three years with our two month old daughter. Two months and I can't believe she's here.
"Katie is ready." I tell my husband Ryder before sitting down between him and my mom.
"So is Nathan." He explains to me.
Once the music for Katie to enter the room begins, I well up in tears. Katie is my little sister and seeing her grow up, puts me in shock. Heck I saw both her and Nathan grow up. I remember going to Bridget's house growing up. I saw him from the time he was five to now.
I look behind me and see the crew. Two crew members' siblings getting married. Now that definitely brings the crew together.
"Katie do you take Nathan John Sparse as your lofely wedded husband. Through wealth and poor, through sickness and in health. Through thick and thin?" The minister asks my little sister.
"I do." She replies with a big smile on her face.
They're announced as husband and wife before kissing.
"Go suck face after the wedding!" Bridget yells as the whole crowd laughs.
Once the couple walks down the aisle everyone stands up to talk to each other.
"She looked absolutely gorgeous in her gown." Danielle says.
"I can't believe our little sister is growing up." Stacy says.
"What about my little brother?" Bridget asks.
"We're amazed by him as well, Bridget." Jackie says.
"Come on, let's all go get food." Stanley says as we walk to the reception.
Out of all places with good memories, Nathan and Katie chose their best memory. The day they met and the place they met. It was my third grade field trip to a park for our entire school. Nathan and Katie met through Bridget and I. They spent the whole day talking and playing. They bonded through baseball and were best friends since.
"Oh, cake!" Damien yells before Danielle pulls on the collar of his tux.
"Let our little sister get her first slice." Danielle says.
Once everyone got food and Katie and Nathan had their first dance, my mom watched my daughter Lana, Ryder takes me out onto the dance floor.
"You know, I still can't believe it's been almost seven years since we've met." Ryder tells me as I rest my head on his chest.
"I can't believe it's been three years since we got married." I say.
The song playing was perfect for this moment. Lifehouse's You And Me. Because it is him and me and all of the people.
Eight years from today, I wouldn't've imagined where I am now. I would've thought Josiah was the one I would marry. I would've thought Josiah was the one who would've been my daughter's father. But I couldn't ask for more than Ryder.
"Macy, " Bridget says pulling on my arm. "Stay alarmed, Josiah is here."
Ryder knows exactly who Bridget was warning me about. I told him about Josiah the moment we met. How, we had a struggling relationship because of his mistakes.
We then walk over to our table that we were sitting at. Hoping we wouldn't be noticed.
"I'm going to the bathroom real quick." Ryder says before pecking my cheek. I duck my head low to make sure no one sees me.
