Chapter 17: Prom Plans And Break Ups

Class was too boring to even remember. But that afternoon, the girls and I decided to skip practice and look for prom dresses while the guys went to go look at suits. One thing that surprised me was, Lila got a date for prom. She's not the dating type but, she got a date to prom.

"Okay, so, does anyone know who Lila's date is?" Bridget asks the crew while we wait on Lila to get here.

"I don't know, I think her getting a date changed once Kenny got into town." Aubrey explains.

"Hey guys," we hear Lila say.

"Lila, so, who is your date to prom?" I ask as we all giggle.

"You guys will find out the day of prom." She explains.

Finding a dress for me, was like trying to fnd a needle in a haystack. Each dress I found didn't quite stand out to me. Everyone else but me had luck finding the perfect dress. Until finally Iris found the perfect dress for me.

It had two neck lines. The bottom layer neckline was sweet heart and the top layer which was just a piece or two of tool, came up to my collar bone. The top was white and the skirt was turquoise. I literally felt like queen Cleopatra.

"Oh my gosh you look so pretty." Elizabeth says.

"Isn't it gorgeous." Iris says.

"Alright, so its officially this dress?" I ask.

"Yes, oh my gosh, ready here comes my gay impression. Girl, that dress with your hair oh my gosh. Its making even your ass look sexy." Bridget says as we all laugh.

"I remember you did that when I text you a picture of me wearing my dress for the talent show when we were younger." I say laughing. I walked back into the dressing room and getting my regular clothes on.

"Okay, now you have to tell us, who is your prom date?" Danielle asks Lila.

"Like I said you have to wait." Lila says blushing.

"Give her a break guys." I say laughing before they drop me off at my dad's house. Its so odd not having Josiah spend the night with me. Having to carry my dress in, was a little awkward.

When I walk into my dad's house, I hear the tv on. Letting me know my dad is here. More than likely with his girlfriend. "Is Katie upstairs?" I ask my dad.

"Yeah, and she's not in the best mood." My dad says as I start to walk upstairs.

I knock on Katie's door before entering. "Katie, are you okay?" I ask.

"Nobody will love me, Macy. Not a single guy in this world will ever love me." I hear her cry.

"No, what happened?" I ask walking over to her on her bed.

"Michael broke up with me today. He said because I rarely see him he doesn't think he can maintain a relationship with me." She explains as I pull her close to me.

"Remember, guys are absolute assholes. Don't let one guy ruin your life for good. Yes, I know, you loved Michael a lot, but remember he just wasn't the one for you. So, how about this. This weekend, we'll have a girls only weekend at mom's house. We'll have snacks and yes I will enforce you eat. We'll watch movies, play games, all to get your mind off of the break up. So, you think you can last till then?"

"Yeah, just, ugh, I just wish the break up never happened. He ment so much to me. I tried spending as much time as possible with him but, apparently it wasn't enough for him." Katie says before standing up.

She then walks over to her mirror filled with cute photos of her and Michael, and pulls them all off the mirror. Shredding every last photo. Every memory of her and Michael. Yes, it hurts me seeing how much pain she's in but, she's gotta do what she's gotta do. And that's what I'm proud of about her right now. She's not taking this break up as a sign she doesn't deserve to live. She's moving on. And I'm proud. This is is the longest relationship she's been in and now that she knows what it's like to break up from a long term relationship, its dffcult to explain.

I try to make time fly for Katie as Saturday finally arrives. But when I get to my mom's house with Katie, she's even more upset. "Now, tell me, what's the matter?" I ask her. She has yet to speak a word to me since yesterday. "Fine, I'm calling Natalia. Maybe then Maria will tell me something." I say grabbing my phone and dialing Natalia's number.

"Hello?" Natalia answers.

"Hey, Natalia, is Maria there, I need to ask her a question?"

"Yeah, hold up." Natalia says. "No, Sam's at his house. Well, get over here and talk to Macy really quick." I hear Natalia yell at Maria.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Maria, its Macy. Listen, do you happen to know anything about Michael that's happened in the past night?"

"Oh yeah, he's dating Valerie now. Why?"

"Well, lets just say, Katie is not in the best mood and has yet to say anything all day. Anyways, thanks. Bye." I say hangng up the phone. I then hear footsteps walk up the stairs.

"Alright, I got movies, popcorn, candy, and a list of Youtubers. Lets get this party started." Bridget says bursting into my room. I then facepalm.

"Who all is here?" I ask.

"Jackie, Danielle, Stacy, Elizabeth, Payton, Troy, because, Danielle wanted to bring him along, Hailey, Melinda, Charlie, Angela, Iris, and Erica. Am I missing anybody?" Bridget explains.

"Yeah, where's Simone, Lila, and Aubrey?" I ask.

"Lila is on a date with," Bridget then tries to stiffle a laugh. "Kenny."

"Kenny!?"

"Yeah, and then Aubrey is visiting Daniel in New York. Simone, her family had plans. Anyways, lets have fun right now c'mon!" Bridget says as I turn on a movie, we decide on Toy Story because, lets face it, who doesn't like Disney movies.

We're then at the final scene where they're living in the new house and its Christmas time. Oh Christmas, if you like it as much as I do, you'll literally fall in love with it.

"Okay, next thing for sure, we have to do is, prank text him." Charlie says as I grab Katie's phone.

"If he talks shit at all I will literally chop off his balls." Hailey says.

"Okay, Elizabeth, since you're best at this, why don't you call the number. Remember put star thiry seven." I say as she copies the number onto her phone.

She then puts the phone on speaker. "Hello?" Michael says.

"Hello, is this my boyfriend. Snookums I miss you." Elizabeth says plugging her nose.

"Ew, that's porn." Charlie says as we all snicker.

"Who the hell is this?"

"It's your girlfriend baby, I miss you." Troy says as we all fall over laughing.

"What the fuck!?" I hear him yell before the line goes dead.

I then look over to Katie who finally has a smile on her face for the first time in a few days. "Look even Troy will put a smile on your face." Melinda says.

"I remember when Macy had a crush on him," Danielle says as we all laugh.

"Oh please, like you didn't. Then again, that was after he confessed he was gay." I say as we all laugh.

"Bitch, please. Its not called being gay, its called being fabulous." Troy says putting a boa and tiara on. We all burst out laughing tp the point we can't even breathe.
