I woke up without Katie next to me. Typical, she must be on my bed. Last night was too difficult for me to fall asleep. Worrying the nightmare would come true some how. If it actually did happen, I would more than just heart broken. I would probably faint, have a heart attack, or something. I care about him enough to freak out so much, you would think its over exaggeration. I get dressed lazily. Hair in a messy bun, light sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers. My acne is willing to cooperate so I go natural for the day. I grab my bag, head downstairs, make a bagel with cream cheese, and wait for Katie to come downstairs.
“You ready to go kiddo?” I ask when she gets downstairs.
“Yeah. I have cash for later. How long are we going to be at the mall?” Katie asks me as we leave.
“Not long since a school night.” I explain.
We leave the house at around seven fifteen. At this point my mom is already at work. Aaron has taken Erica to school already. So, its just me, and Katie. Possibly Josiah soon. I certainly hope that nightmare doesn’t come true. With Katie being a freshman and me a senior, we have to go to opposite hallways.
Once I reach my locker I find my cheeky boyfriend. Oh thank god that nightmare didn’t come true. Once I see him I walk over to him and give him a hug.
“You okay after last night?” he asks me.
“Yeah just, that nightmare scared the crap out of me.” I explain.
“Just remember, nightmares don’t come true, only dreams.” he explains cupping my face in his hands..
I grab my books for my first three classes. Then we head off to Ms. Edwards’ class. “Alright class, today we are going to start a history project. It will be worth twenty five percent of your grade of the semester. So, in order to have all of you do your best, I’m partnering you all up.” Ms. Edwards explains. I’m hoping to be with Josiah at least. “Jessica and Macy you two are partners. Josiah and Hailey you two are partners.” What the heck!? “Your projects will be on what you learned about the revolutionary war. I expect the following on what’s on the sheet.” God, anyone, anyone but Jessica. She’s so snobby. I’d rather be with Brittany or Olivia than Jessica. “Any questions? Yes, Macy?”
“What if we don’t get along with our partners?”
“Don’t start with the what ifs young lady.” God, someone’s panties are in a twist today. Finally after what felt like hours, the class finally ended.
“Text me, okay?” I say hugging Josiah.
“I promise. You’re bored as hell in that class now that you have nothing to do in that class.”
“Eh, I get at least a nap or two in.” I laugh walking into class. I sit in the back, as usual. But by the back corner. The seats in the back of the classroom are always the best. I pull out my phone to check to see if Josiah or someone text me.
“So, how was your first night without Josiah with you?” Iris asks me.
“She had a nightmare.” Erica explains.
“I could tell, she came to school looking scared.” Iris explains.
“What, wouldn’t you worry about your boyfriend?” I say.
“Yeah, but he’s not around twenty four seven.” Iris says.
“You guys, give her a break. Not all our parents hate our boyfriends.” Elizabeth explains.
“Oh whatever.” Iris exclaims.
“Girls girls girls, enough.” I explain.
'Hey baby girl, what are your plans for after school ;)' Josiah texts me.
