Brantley's POV
"Woman," I warned with a laugh swatting the hands of my giggling wife away trying to get us back to the house in Nashville in one piece. But the hand currently undoing by belt was any indication, she was in no mood to wait. PJ had already told us we were acting like a pair of newlyweds sneaking off any chance we could. And as shocking as it may be, it wasn't always to tangle in the sheets. Many times it was just so we could get a quiet moment together. Especially on my hard days and she was being there every step of the way talking me through it.
Finding ways to distract me from the demons clawing at me and the cravings. I let out a hiss between clenched teeth feeling a small hand wrap around my hard dick and lips brushing the head. My hands gripped the steering wheel so tight I thought it may break. A hoarse yell sounded through the vehicle when Kay took me all the way to the back of her throat humming. I lost focus and my eyes crossed making her SUV go off the wrong slightly. I locked the brakes up on the shoulder looking down at my now sheepish looking wife as she looked up at me.
"Oops," she said with a shy smile. I gently pushed her head away from me after glaring down at her. I zipped my jeans back up letting out a low growl. Lips pursed at me until I held up a finger in warning. "Don't you give me that look or take that tone of voice with me, Brantley Keith."
"Don't let the sass overload your ass KiKi," I said raising an eyebrow at her. I leaned down kissing her hard then pushed her back across the console to her seat. "Now stay before I turn your ass red."
"Mmmmmm," she purred biting her bottom lip as I pulled back out on the road. I turned fixing her with a stare because if she kept that shit up she was going to be face first in the back seat and it was not completely pleasant because I was barely holding on by a thread as it was. She huffed out a sigh crossing her arms over her chest and while she was attempting for the air of innocence, I knew better. She was so pushing her cleavage up to make it almost spill out of her shirt. "Finnneeeeee."
We drove the rest of the way to the house in silence with only the occasional muttering for me that my dear sweet wife was really going to be the death of me. I got a smirk and batted eyelashes in return. God knew what he was doing when he put her sassy, feisty ass in my path all those years ago and again when she came back into my life. Yes, we butted heads. We even still after all that we have been through argued frequently but we also pushed each other to be a version of ourselves that I don't think we would be with anyone else. I pulled in the driveway parking on the other side of my truck holding my hand up. Kaydence looked at me in confusion for a moment.
"Stay right there," I told her with a laugh climbing out and walking around opening her door. She let out a quiet laugh when I scooped her up in my arms heading towards the door shifting her slightly to get it open. Kaydence, being Kaydence, took this as a prime opportunity to bury her face in my neck teasing the pulse point with her teeth causing me to shudder. "I'm going to wind up dropping you."
"Nah," she murmured sliding her tongue up to flick my earring with a throaty laugh. "You have great balance babe but you can drop me into bed because I need you."
"First things first," I whispered capturing her lips in a deep kiss turning towards the living room that was dimly lit. I owed PJ for setting up the roses and candles while we were out. Brax was hanging out with Leigh at Jason's with the rest of the kids while we all had a night out. I owed my wife a touch of romance that was long overdue. Sitting her down on her feet, Kaydence gasped seeing the LED candles placed around the room. Several vases overflowing with lilies and roses because she loved both. Rose petals scattered on the floor leading to a blanket in front of the fireplace where the petals were shaped like a heart. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. I lifted my hand smoothing the tears away. "Hey now beautiful, no tears."
