Happy birthday!

The date is March 21, 2048, the day Kaneki and I escaped from Jason and the day the triplets were born. Today is going to be great, They're turning 15. So how they are officially teenagers, but I still treat like little kids. They have become stronger, faster, and learn combat faster. They're almost as skilled as me and Kaneki.

"Kaori. Get up." I shake her only to get no reply. "You're just like your father always a harder sleeper." I sigh. I shake her more, "Kaori Kaneki. Wake up." I call her by her full name. "Eh don't." She says. She hates when I say her last name. "Come on get up. Do you even remember what today is?" She sits up with disheveled hair.

"What?" She rubs her eyes. "Today's your birthday." I smack my head. "You didn't even remember." She shrugs, as Akki and Yukki mess around in the hallway. She gets up and starts to brush her hair that has turned a dark purple. She still is half asleep so I take the brush from her and brush her hair.

"I'm doing your hair." "But," she yawns. "I can do it." "I got it." I say softly. I tie her hair in a side ponytail. "You look beautiful but there's one more thing." I start searching through her drawers. "Where's that flower clip I gave you when you were little." "Do I have to wear it?" I sigh.

"Yes it's your birthday. Ah, here it is." I pull out a clip that has white flowers that fade into purple in the middle of the flower. I put the clip in her hair as she sighs leaning her chin on her hand.

"Touka's going to want to see you." "I know." She sighs. Kaori and Yukki are pros at keeping they're eye color in control but Akki can't really, he get mad very easy. But when you get to know him, he's quite sweet and is exactly how his father used to be.

"Kaori, finish getting dressed. I'm going to check on your brothers." She nods and I leave shutting the door. Yukki walks down the hall in a tanktop and shorts. "Yukki, go get dressed." "I am." I sigh putting my hand on his shoulder, shaking my head no.

"Okay, Whatever. Where's your brother?" I look up at Yukki now, he's to tall. "He's in his room." I nod my head, walking to Akki's room. I knock on the door to hear what sounds like someone falling. "Akki?" "Hold on!" I stand outside the door waiting. "Mom?" He opens the door.

"Why sound so surprised?" "Oh sorry, did you need something?" I stand there crossing my arms. "Yeah we're about to leave. Let's go, get dressed, get your shoes on." "I will." I pinch his nose. "Happy birthday." "Ow, thanks mom. Can you let go now?" He says in a nasally voice. I let go of his nose with a smile, he smiles back and shuts the door.

Kaori walks out of her room in a light purple spaghetti strapped dress. I look at her beauty, just completely awestrucked. Kaneki comes from behind me and warps his arm around my shoulders. "She's looks beautiful." I hold his hand. "Yeah, she is." Kaori notices that we're looking at her and blushs.

"Kaneki, can you tell Akki that he doesn't have to wear his eyepatch today?" "Sure." Kaneki let's go of my hand and walks to Akki's room. I walk up to Kaori as she looks in a my eyes. Her gaze of innocence and beauty, I spin her in a circle looking at every angle of her.

"You look beautiful." "Thanks mom." She blushes. Yukki steps out of his room with disheveled hair, "How come you didn't brush your hair?" He sighs and flats his hair down. "That's not what I meant, do you know what? It doesn't matter." I sigh. 'They're hopeless.' I think, rubbing my temples.

I hear a knock at the door and go to answer it. I open the door to see Yuki and my mom. To spare you the freak out of Yuki, she now knows that we are a family of ghouls.

"Hey you guys ready to go?" "Hey, I don't know. I think everyone's ready." I welcome them in the house as I see if everyone's ready to left. "I know that Kaori and Yukki are ready but I don't know about Akki." I tell Yuki. Kaori walks up to the door pulling Yukki behind her. "Lets... go.." she pulls him. "Let go Kaori." Kaori pulls Yukki outside to Yuki's car.

Kaneki walks to the door with Akki as Akki chews meat and let's some hang outside his mouth. "Hey, your grandmother is here and your aunt. Can you eat faster?" I shove the meat in his mouth and he laughs. "Sorry." He apologizes to Yuki and mom.

I ruffle his hair as he walks out the door. Kaneki wait for me to walk out the door and locks it behind us. Yuki drives Yukki and Kaori to Anteiku and Kaneki drives Akki, my mom, and me to Anteiku. "So are we have in a party this year?" Akki asks in a dull tone. "Yes and no." I reply.

"The people from Anteiku will be there. It's kind of just a gathering. You guys said that you didn't want a party." I said as Akki nods.
