The boy with a eyepatch

The next morning

I wake up, completely forgetting what happened. I grab my clothes out of my closet and get dressed. I look in my long mirror viewing how I look. I have a black skirt and a long sleeve shirt that covers my pale skin. I have black hair that comes down to my breast and bangs that could cover my eyes.

I brush out my hair in front of the mirror. "Holy shit!" I scream. I hear my mom stumbling up the stairs to get to my room. I pant there in the middle of the room panting, my mom bust through the door. I cover my eye turning around. "Go mom. I'm fine." I tell her. "No [Name] let me see." She reaches out to move my hand and I smack it. "Leave go to work!" I scream at her feeling bad but that is the only way she will listen. She sighs "Okay." She leaves my room with her head low and shut the door.  "I'm sorry." I whisper.

I look back on the mirror examining my eye. I pull down my bottom eyelid exposing my now black, red pupil eye. I start breathing heavy. "Oh my god. This is...." I breathe in. "AWESOME!" I know enough things about ghouls that this is going to be epic.  I normal person would freak out about this but I'm not normal. "I wonder what Kaneki going to say." I run down stairs hitting my shoulder on the wall remembering what happened but shrug it off.

I slip on my shoes, "I have to cover my eye." I remember. I look through my medical cabinet and see nothing. I decide to just cover with my hand until I see Kaneki. I shut the cabinet and grab my things running out the door covering my eye. I walk bumping into people still trying to cover my eye.

I get to Anteiku and walk in the door with my head down avoiding other people's eyes. "Welcome." I walk to the counter and Nishiki is making coffee. "Is Kaneki here?" "Oh hey [Name]. No he said he was sick and was going to stay home but he said that if you came to give you this." He hands me a folded note.

"Thanks. " I grab it with my free hand. I read the note. It says an address and phone number at the bottom it says "call me" I say my goodbye to Nishiki and leave I see an ally and walk in it taking my em hand off my eye, pulling out my phone.  I type in the number that is on the note. It starts to ring.

"Hello?" "Hey its [Name]." "Oh hey." "I told me to call you?" "Oh yeah. Can you come to my house?" "Yeah I need to show you something anyway." "Okay my address is on the paper." "Okay see you in a little bit." "Okay bye." "Bye." I press the end bottom on my phone.

I walk out putting my hand on my eye and my arm aches. I walk a few block and manage to get to Kaneki's house. I knock on the door. The door swings open and someone pulls me in covering my mouth. "Hmm uhmm!" I screams are muffled. "[Name] calm down its just me." Kaneki tells me releasing my mouth.

I breathe heavily "You can't just do that." I tell him. "Okay okay I won't." "Why did you need me?" He takes off his eyepatch and his black and red eye shows. "It won't go away and I'm not even hungry." He informs me.

"Well that brings up what I was going to say." "What is it?" I move my bangs exposing my eye. "Wait! How did this happen?!" He panics. "Trust me it wasn't you." He calms down. "So what happened?" "Well I'm half ghoul and I kind of just find out yesterday." He looks confused. "Then how come you didn't have it yesterday?" "Well my mom had it removed when I was younger." I continue on telling him about what happened yesterday.

"So you where walking around town covering your eye with your hand? that's dangerous." He tells me. "I understand. That's why I came to you." "Okay I can give you one of my eyepatch until you learn how to control it. Even I haven't learned yet so it will help he hand me an eyepatch. I take it hesitating and slip it in my eye.
