Getting a mask

In the morning, I wake up before Kaneki and normally a girl would make her boyfriend breakfast but I can't do that I mean we both eat flesh now. I'm usually not around when he eats, he thought that I would maybe get sick.

I look in fridge and see the package of flesh. I open it and and dip my finger in the blood, I lick my finger. The flavor lingers on my tongue, it taste so good. "What are you doing?" Kaneki says scaring me.

I slap his chest, "Don't do that. You scared me." He laughs, "Sorry." I stare uneasy at the flesh. "I know. It's weird at first but you'll get used to it." I poke the meat still uneasy. "Here." Kaneki picks up a piece of the meat and bites it. I thought you would have to tug and pull to rip it a part but he just bit it.

He hands me a piece and I take it. I didn't really taste it yesterday because it was just shoved down my throat. I take bite, I don't know how to explain it. It's taste made me drool a little. Kaneki laughs and I quickly wipe the drool off my face.

"We have to get you a mask today." "A mask?" "Yeah we wear them when we fight the humans so they don't see who we are." "How come I have never seen your mask?" I question him. "I have it all the time just in case but I haven't got into any fight with you around." "I see. Can I see it?" He walk to the pair of jeans he wore yesterday and pulled out a black mask.

He walked back to me handing it to me. A black mask that had a cover for his right eye and a mouth on it with a zipper. "Hm. So I have to get one of these?" "Yeah." I hand him back his mask and I wrap up the flesh. Then go get dressed, "So who makes the masks?" "Oh Uta, he's quite amazing." Kaneki says getting dressed.

I pull my hair in a messy bun and pull up my jeans. I move around my clothes looking for a shirt. I find a shirt and put to on, Kaneki unplugs his phone and mine sticking it in my back pocket. I see put on a blue jacket and sticks mask in the pocket on the inside of his coat. "You ready?"

"Yeah." I grab my coat and walk out the door. "Do you know what kind if mask you want? Cause if dont have at lease an idea, Uta will pick one out for you." "I really don't know." I shrug. "Over here." Kaneki grabs me and pulls me in an ally. There's a sign that says Art mask.

We walk down a couple stairs and Kaneki cracks open the door and looks inside the store. "Uta! You here?" "Is that you Kaneki? Come in." Kaneki opens the door and he walks in. I slowly walk in shutting the door. I look around and don't see anyone.

When I feel and hear someone sniff me. "Ah!" I jump behind Kaneki. "Hey Kaneki." "Uta can't just do that." "Sorry she smells like you." Kaneki laughs, I blush. "Hi I'm Uta." He holds out his hand, I step from behind Kaneki and shake his hand. "We need to get her a mask." Kaneki says.

I notice that Uta eyes are red and black and are staying like that. "I see." I look around and there mask everywhere. I admire the mask, as Kaneki and Uta talk. "Are you two dating?"

"Yeah. Well she's a new ghoul, so she's just learning." "Uh how is that possible?" "Her mom removed your ghoul eye when she was young." "You just said eye. Meaning only one?" "Yes, she's half ghoul half human. Born half ghoul not made." "Interesting." Then they whisper and giggle some and Kaneki blushs a little but I didn't hear them.

"[Name] come over here." I come to Kaneki. "Huh?" "Uta needs your measurements." "Okay." I answer. Uta has me sit in a chair and measures my forehead.

While Kaneki looks at all the other masks. "So how did you two meet?" He asks. "Uh well, I bumped into him on the sidewalk." "Oh, you're lucky you have him." "Yeah I am." I sigh watching Kaneki. "He's a nice boy and I would keep him if I were you. Boys like him are hard to find." Uta measures my neck.

"I love him, I'm never letting go." "Good. Well I got all your measurements, your mask will be done in about 3 days." "Okay thanks I'll come then." I stand up. "Thank you, Uta." And I bow. Kaneki notices that I'm done and thanks Uta. "Well we'll be back." Kaneki says. I wave goodbye and shut the door leaving.

"A mask, hmm?" I think out loud. "Did Uta tell you what kind of mask your getting?" "No, what am I getting?" Kaneki blushs. "Oh nothing. I don't know." "You lair." Kaneki laughs. "Puck." I say under my breath. "I love you." He wraps his arm around me.
