Daniel's pov

After that perfect date night with Jonah, we went to sleep a bit earlier than the day before. So when I woke up in the morning I felt totally ready for the day. Then I actually realized that I need to travel to my hometown and explain all the shit my mom told everyone, but which I made up in the first place. I know I can't really blame it on her cause I was the one who couldn't just say those two good old words 'I'm single'. That's it. I wasn't able to say it again. But now I know I messed up and that I also need to clean that mess up.

As I was thinking, suddenly my alarm went on. It scared the fuck out of me. I quickly reached out my hand, grabbing my phone and finally turned it off. But it was late cause Jonah was up as well. I know he was supposed to wake up as well cause today is the day I'm gonna teach him everything I know about the functioning of the coffee shop, but I wanted to wake him up myself and mostly gently. Not by scaring him as well.

"That was so loud." he murmured then started yawning.

"I know, I'm really sorry. Good morning, love." I said as I was getting out of bed to start this long ass day.

"Actually it would be better with a kiss from my wonderful boyfriend." he replied with a smirk. My lips curved into a smile. I leaned closer to him and kissed him for a long time. He wrapped his arms around my neck and wanted to pull me back into our bed.

"I'm sorry." I pulled away from him and stood up. Then I started dressing up. "We don't have time for these things now. Get ready, breakfast and we're leaving."

"I know." he replied sadly, getting up as well. I grabbed his chin, making him look at me and pecked his lips before disappearing into the bathroom.

As soon as I was fresh and ready, I headed into the kitchen. Jonah was already there preparing breakfast. We switched positions, so I finished the breakfast he started and meanwhile he went to freshen up into the bathroom. When I got completely ready with our meals, Jonah was back from the bathroom and we both sat down to the kitchen table.

"I made us some sandwiches quickly for later. Those are in the fridge so I hope we don't forget to take them." I said.

"Don't worry..if we forget them...then we order something." he replied while eating.

I was finishing my meal and Jonah was already sipping his coffee like usually, when I checked the time on the screen of my phone.

"It's almost 7.30am..we need to hurry up." I said, standing up and heading to the fridge. I opened the door on it and took the sandwiches. Then I walked into the hall to put them into the bag I use when I go to work. Then I saw my other bag, prepared for the flight..today. A wave of anxious feeling went through my whole body. I don't even know what I'm going into. I'm not ready. That's for sure. Jonah's steps coming closer to me, interrupted my over thinking about all the ways this whole trip can turn into a nightmare.

"I'm ready..we can go now." Jonah said as he stopped by me. I just looked at him, then on my bag and took it. "Are you okay?" he asked.

"I...I'm...anxious about this visit." I said not hiding the truth. He put his arm around me and placed a kiss on the side of my head.

"There's nothing to worry about..I know it's not an easy situation for you..but in the end you will see that everyone is going to be happy to see you after such a long time and they will not care if you have a girlfriend or not. You're the one they wanna see, not a random girl. They will accept it that you're single and even if you would tell them that you like guys..they would support you. I'm more than sure about that. Cause like you said before, your mom was the one who never wanted to see that family friend of yours after he came out..it means that only your mom is against the same gender relationships, am I right?" he asked at the end of his speech.
