T/W: Mild body horror (I think? I'm not sure if it counts but I'm putting it just in case), mild panic attack, mild blood

I wince slightly as the floorboards creak under me. I glance over to where Quackity is sleeping on the floor, making sure I didn't wake him up. He looks really peaceful while he's sleeping- you'd never guess how loud and chaotic he is.
Oh f*ck I'm being creepy, aren't I? Who watches people while they sleep?
Apparently me what the f*ck-
I hear a rustling noise and I hold my breath, hoping I didn't disturb him. He stretches a bit before turning away from me, still asleep. I sigh, relieved, and watch him readjust his position slightly. Should I try to move him off of the floor now that I'm not in the bed...? I mean, he was nice enough to sleep in my room even though there's a guest room right down the hall. The floor can't be comfortable, but he didn't want me to be alone, and he refused to take the bed.
Classy motherf*cker.
Well, I'm not using the bed now, so should I move him...?
No, he'll be fine. Trying to move him might wake him up, and after staying up so late last night to help me, he needs all the sleep he can get.
Why am I such a mess today?
Sleep deprivation. Definitely sleep deprivation.
I slowly descend the stairs, taking great care to be as quiet as possible. I move into the kitchen, ready to make some breakfast. I open my cabinet-
Empty.
I groan. I forgot to buy more food yesterday. I don't have anything for ME to eat, let alone enough to feed Quackity as well.
Getting food is going to take forever, and I want something to eat NOW. Plus I need something for Quackity. It's only polite. Not that I give a sh*t but I'm feeling nice today.
Where can I get some food...?
Oh.
Oh no. Not there.
Do I have to?
Probably.
Ugh.

The small bell attached to the door chimes as I enter the bakery. Sweet smells that make my mouth water fill the air. It's really empty, probably because of how early it is. They only opened, like, five minutes ago. There are a few small tables and chairs for people who want to sit and chat.
"Hello! One moment, please!" A voice calls out from behind the counter. Niki is grabbing something from under the counter, a bit of her blonde hair visible over the top. She pulls out a pan, setting it down in front of her. "Welcome! What would you-" She looks up and sees me, causing a look of slight shock to flicker across her face. Her words falter slightly. "Ah, hello Y/N! Pleasure seeing you here. This is your first time visiting, right?"
