Katsuki took in a deep breath. His eyes peeked open slowly, wincing at the bright lights then closing them again. An annoyed groan escaped him. His throat screamed for moisture, making him whimper.
"Kacchan?" A voice asked.
He knew that voice.
A hand grabbed his.
He knew that hand. Those scars. He knew them too.
"Kacchan, wake up."
He knew that voice, damnit. Who did it belong do?
"Hold on."
The hand left his. A broken whine escaped him at the loss of contact. A moment later, there was a click then the light was gone from his eyes. The hand returned to his once again. He slowly peeked his eyes open.
"Hey, Kacchan."
He opened them all the way. The voice belonged to Izuku. His figure was slightly blurry, but Katsuki's vision quickly cleared up. "De...ku?" He forced out. Izuku helped him sit up. Izuku gave him some water, holding the bottle up for him. Katsuki drank until Izuku pulled it back. "What happened?"
"What's the last thing you remember?" Izuku asked him. Katsuki's brows pinched together for a moment.
"Uh..." He trailed off. He racked his brain for the last few moments. "I was trying to go feral in hopes of escaping... then I..." His eyes grew wide, and his scarlet orbs filled with terror. "I... I..."
"It's okay, Kacchan. Take your time." Izuku whispered encouragingly.
"I killed them." He stated. Tears quickly filled his eyes. Izuku wiped them away with his thumbs. "Izuku, I killed people."
"They were very bad people." Izuku said in a hushed tone. "You're not at fault, Kacchan. Not by anyone." He tried to make it better, but Katsuki shook his head. "Look at me." Izuku instructed. Katsuki's scarlet orbs flicked over to his emerald ones. "I love you, and the only thing anyone cares about is if you're safe. And you are now. So we can go home, and this will all be over."
"Why do I feel so weak?" Katsuki inquired. He lied his head back on the pillows.
"Because you're on some serious medications to stop the heat." Izuku replied with a small frown. Katsuki made a face, which made Izuku laugh.
"Are there going to be scars?"
"Nope. You can thank Eri for that." Izuku stated with a proud smile. Katsuki scowled at him.
"You let that brat see me like this? You probably traumatized her." Katsuki huffed out. Izuku chuckled softly while shaking his head.
"She's perfectly fine." He pushed some of Katsuki's bangs back then placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. He didn't miss the way Katsuki stiffened up slightly. "You know I'd never hurt you."
"Yeah, I know. Just... keep your hands to yourself, yeah?" Katsuki whispered. He looked away with a small blush on his cheeks.
"Kacchan, don't be embarrassed." Izuku told him. "You have every right to want space. Especially after what happened."
"Kiss me." Katsuki forced past his lips.
"Huh?"
"Kiss me, you fucking idiot." He said a bit louder. Izuku grabbed his chin then guided their lips together. Katsuki practically melted under Izuku's touch. He reached up, diving a hand into Izuku's unruly, green locks. He used his other hand to pull at Izuku's jacket. One of Izuku's hands stayed on Katsuki's face and the other was placed on the bed, holding him up. Their kiss lasted until Katsuki's weak form was completely breathless. He kept his eyes closed. His hand remained firmly on the back of Izuku's head, keeping him from pulling away. Their foreheads were pressed together.
