Katsuki came into work with an odd feeling in his gut. He'd just come off his Heat leave, and he was being sent on a mission to find and rescue a lost child.

When he first heard about the assignment, he was going to blow something up. He was not good for a search and rescue at all. He was probably one of the worst for the job because people can hear his quirk from miles away. But then he was given more details about the kid.

He's looking for a fourteen year old female who just presented, and took off with a very clear, very obvious Heat Fever.

The information forced Katsuki to remember when he first presented rather clearly.

The teacher babbled on about how physics work and the formula to calculate velocity. Speed, momentum, air resistance, blah, blah, blah. Fifteen year old Katsuki Bakugou didn't give a single fuck. He already knew that shit because he'd read everything in all of their textbooks in the first two weeks of school. He was quick to absorb any information put in front of him. It was one of those stupid things he had in common with stupid, fucking Deku.

Katsuki leaned back in his seat then kicked his feet up. He pursed his lips as he looked anywhere expect their babbling teacher. Most kids were furiously taking notes -- cough, Deku, cough -- others were staring up at the teacher, and a few were ignoring their professor completely because they thought they were 'badass' or whatever. Those few were the extras Katsuki called 'friends'. He inwardly scoffed.

Those extras who hang around him thought he was a 'bad boy' who liked slacking off, a soon-to-be alpha who could just take what he wanted.

Deku didn't think that though... Katsuki reminded himself. Izuku Midoriya followed Katsuki around like a lost puppy, had the audacity to try to help him, and was quick to correct Katsuki in the rare times that he was wrong. That last one didn't happen often though.

Katsuki's scarlet eyes drifted over to the nerd. They had changed seats quite a few times in the year. Izuku went from sitting behind Katsuki to a couple rows over. Katsuki watched him intently with a soft heat starting to pool in his gut. Just looking at the nerd pissed him off to no end.

Katsuki had been rather irritable in the last few days. He knew he was nearing his presentation, and he fully expected his second gender to prove that he will be the best hero ever -- an alpha male with an amazing, powerful quirk. Katsuki was dead set on this, and nobody said anything to stop him.

His parents didn't comment on the nest in his bedroom. They figured it was best not to tell him. They didn't want to risk an outrage just yet.

His friends didn't question when he felt the urge to coddle an omegan girl after she presented. They probably thought he was just being a hero.

Absolutely no one opened their mouths when Katsuki chose Deku of all people for a partner on a project. Katsuki probably would've said he chose the green haired male because he felt sorry for him, but even Katsuki knew of Izuku's large, nerdy brain. As much as he despised the idea of it, he knew the nerd was one of the smartest in the class.

As the day progressed, the burning in Katsuki's stomach started to change and spread. The heat itself moved up to Katsuki's neck, tingling in his scent glands. He knew this wasn't one of the symptoms of his presentation. Alphas didn't get hot and bothered, they got aggressive and horny. So he brushed the heat and the sudden cramps off as the need to take a shit.
