1) What inspired you to write this story 'Reborn'?
I have been trying to write a story and have some of them in my books, but I was hoping to write a teen fiction/romance story for once(I'm usually more of a thriller type). And so, I just put it out there one day, and the story developed and here I am.
2) What is it about?
It is a story about the youth of four people, who start off as teenagers, where they go through life and all its happiness, sufferings and confusion. Well, ain't life usually that? So, they fall in love, make new bonds, break existing ones, smash hearts, etc., etc., So basically, they go on a roller-coaster, thinking they're making the right choices. But are they really making the correct ones and do they end up being happy and satisfied with life? Guess you'll have to wait and find out!
3) Tell us about Amaira
Amaira had to go through some trouble when she was nine years old and started keeping to herself afterwards. Her family also got distanced from her, owing to circumstances, and she was the only child. With only a dog to accompany her, she thinks of what exactly she is doing one day. She wasn't living her life the way she would have enjoyed, kept blaming her parents, cause she was looking for someone to throw it all to. She learns that she was doing all the things wrong, maybe even liking the wrong person. She's shy on the outside, but if you know more about her, you'll learn that she's your next door neighbour, with a cheerful smile and sarcastic self, and her brain and conscience can't stop arguing with each other!
4) Tell us about Aarav
Aarav's more like your typical bad boy plus innocent (or maybe dumb, but I don't wanna insult my own characters XD). He actually has a bad relationship with his mother, when all he wants to do lie down in her lap, caressing him. He is in love with Sadhvi, another character from my book, but all of this shatters up when he kisses Amaira. Let's hope he makes the correct decisions and doesn't break hearts. But who in history has ever passed that phase without causing misery to another?!
5) Also about Rahul and Sadhvi
Rahul's like the more mature guy here and he is calm, never tells anyone about what he is feeling, and most of the time, lonely. He does things keeping future in mind, but will he have the courage to open up his heart one day, to the one he loves?
Sadhvi is the school's goddess, with good grades and she's graceful. Aarav's in love with her, which she knows, but neither encourages or discourages. She is the sister of Amaira's best friend. Will Amaira and Sadhvi be at odds for the sake of love?
6) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Maybe where I visualize myself in 10 years is nothing related to the writing field. I'm studying computer science, and frankly, if this was the question asked in my job interview, I would have answered, 'in a good position in your company, with my own house, car and being able to take care of my family'. But now, it really makes me think what I exactly want. I want to write a thriller, see it being published, and people loving it, and it being made into a movie! Sounds hopeful, right? Wish me your 'All The Bests' then. XD
7) Why did you choose wattpad to write?
As far as I had the knowledge before stepping into here, wattpad was the only platform I knew. Now even though others are good, some are even offering to pay, I just can't leave here. I'm bonded with it and am willing to stay here until I get bored, which may never happen. XD
8) Who is your inspiration to write?
I don't exactly have someone I look up to while I write, it's mostly my style of writing. But I draw my inspiration from the feedback of my friends and fellow readers. I would say J K Rowling's one of my all time favorites, and I try to understand her writing whenever I'm stuck.
9) Why should people read your book?
That's an interesting question. People read books when they find something similar to them, within the characters or if they find some characteristics in a character the author has created, they wish to be. Here in my story, you can find varied characters with contrasting mindsets and choices. Here you'll see my characters coming into life, making your mind twisted with different choices they make and ultimately let you find what's your true self. To find out more, join in on their journey.
10) Any last words?
First of all, I would like to thank each and every person who has taken time to read my story, vote and comment on it, and give me valuable feedback. It's because of you guys that I sleep every day with a smile on my face. And thanks to people who have made cover for my book, and the people who take time to review my work. Hope you all have a good life ahead!
