Let us begin with the amazing Author of Lisbeth's World

Q. 1) What inspired you to write your story Lisbeth's World

A.. Lisbeth was my third novel (but the first two I didn't translate it to English). I wrote about Lisbeth's sister first Livi. She doesn't want to get married, her ex dumped her because she has two Deaf siblings.

My brother and his wife both are Deaf. When people know about this they will look at me and apologize. That made me feel uneasy. Why do you need to apologize? My brother and his wife are happy, they have a job, they have their apartment.

But I guess people say that because they don't understand how to react.

I hope by reading Lisbeth's World, people can peek a little bit into the Deaf community

Interviewer: That is so nice!

Q.Now could you tell us a bit about your story Lisbeth's world? So that our readers can get context :D

A.The story revolved around Lisbeth's Family and Bryan's family. Both families are Indonesian Chinese.

Here's another thing, not many kinds of literature talked about Indonesian Chinese. Most people only know about May 1998 Racial Riots, where the Chinese were the target of that riots. Many Chinese flew in from Indonesian, many Chinese girls were raped, and many people were killed. But I think, Chinese Indonesia has more stories to tell the world than that.

The story is about Lisbeth's dreams to open a boutique that employed Deaf people. Her struggle to get rid of the stigma that she's worthless

Bryan has his struggle too. He had a bad past, never finishing college while his brother was a valedictorian from Ivy League Uni (trust me, for Chinese parents, a college degree is everything!) He tried to prove himself but always felt that he's not good enough.

Interviewer: That is some nice plot!

Q.Tell us more about Brian and Jimmy,

Who do you think Lisbeth should choose and why?

Bryan is a soft-hearted man, sometimes doubting himself, and has a tendency to do everything to win his parent's approval. And he's a Hearing man.

Lisbeth hates hearing man. She saw how a hearing man dumped her best friend in Deaf school, Nala, and her teacher's (Mrs. Euis) husband divorced her when he found out their daughter is Deaf. Lisbeth silently vowed that she wouldn't fall into a hearing man.

Jimmy, was her friend in Deaf school. He's a handsome photographer. Elisabeth loved him dearly, but Jimmy always seems busy with his world.

Which one that you will pick? A man that's not your type but will go the extra mile to connect with you, or a man exactly your type but treated you indifferently? :)

Interviewer: Now both of those guys seem wonderful. Who will Lisbeth pick?

Q. Why would you encourage readers to read your book?

A.If you want to learn about a new culture (Chinese Indonesian, Deaf culture) , new places, without the need to travel, this book is for you.

Q. What made you start writing on wattpad?

A.I just want to write and share my story with all my friends. I found Wattpad is a perfect place to write. It easy to use, can read from all over the world. And it's free:))

Q. How'd you get the idea for Lisbeth's world

A.It's my third Novel. I wrote a story about Lisbeth's older sister first, then my friends asked me about Lisbeth. So I decided to write about her and Bryan. Bryan was also from the previous novel. He had a crush on Lisbeth's sister for years.
