Passionfruit Dreams at Paradise Beach
Q. Is Passionfruit Dreams at Paradise Beach based on your life story?
A. Nope. I lowkey wish it was (laughs).
Lil-Bird: Ohh. I thought it was based on your life story. My bad XD
Q: So I read Passionfruit Dreams at Paradise Beach and Turn The Paige, and I believe both female characters have the same career path. By any chance, are you a researcher/doctor?
A. (Laughs) Actually, their career paths are different. Barbara in PDAPB is a medical doctor and Paige in TTP is a pharmacy student. I studied Microbiology and I love science.
Lil-Bird: Opps...I thought they have the same career path XD.
Q: When I check your bio, I saw that you're a mother and a full-time worker! How on earth were you able to find time to write your books?
A. I only write in my spare time, which I had more of during the lockdown.
Q: How did you come up with that title?
A. PDAPB is a combination of a dream holiday and a cool drink (laugh).
Lil-Bird: *searching what PDAPB means* oh wait... that's the title *facepalm* so that's why it didn't show up in Google.
Q: Out of all the characters in this book, who would you like to hang out with for a day? And also, which place would you like to explore with them?
A. I would like to hang out with Barbara in Sydney.
Lil-Bird: That's cool!
Q: Give us two funny/sassy responses if someone were to walk up to you, and ask you out(definitely imagine yourself when you are a single pringle. I don't want to get in trouble )
A. I'm single NOT searching
Lil-Bird: Noted!
Q: Looking back, what did you regret the most when you were in high school/college?
A. I wish I traveled more as an undergrad.
Lil-Bird: Traveling sounds fun *sigh*
Q: Out of all the meals you've cooked/or husband, which one would you want to have for a week straight?
A. I can't imagine having the same meal for a week straight.
Lil-Bird: That's true...Let's move onto the next book!
Damilola's Diary
Q: What inspired you to write, and named the story Damilola's Diary?
A. I like the name Damilola and I wanted her story to be like a narration of her experiences, hence the 'diary'
Q: I see that you have added quotes at the beginning of the chapters. Out of all the quotes you have in your book, which one sticks to you the most?
A: Eph 4:3 3.
Q: What is your favorite book series.
A. I don't have one. All the books I love as of now are standalone.
Q: What's the first thing you noticed when meeting a person?
A. Their intelligence. I know it sounds corny but it's true.
Lil-Bird: It doesn't sound corny. Honestly, this is my first time hearing this answer.
Q: What kind of situation in the hospital left an impression on you?
A. (I'm not a doctor, but I worked in a hospital for a while) A bus full of motor accident victims was rushed in and I guess I can spare you the details.
Lil-Bird: Woah...
Q: What do you like to do on your day off?
A. watch movies and go shopping.
Lil-Bird: And that's about it for today's interview! Thank you for this opportunity, Ebony! <3
Evergreen_Ebony: Thank you so much! <3
