1) Tell us about the story Dami's Journal
1) DAMI'S JOURNAL is a book regarding a twelve years old girl called Oluwadamilola. She has a journal which she calls "Kate". Well, basically, she writes in her journal and this leads us to her everyday life. She's a Yoruba girl and she is the last born in her family. She has a lot of things going on in her life, family, friends and everyone around her. She goes through humiliation in high school and Her best friends, Destiny and Daniella are there to support her. This book is regarding High schoolers and has a lot to teach them about life.
2) Tell us about Dami. What is she like?
2) Dami is a strong willed girl. Despite her age she has the ability to reason like an adult. She has a short temper and would do anything to have her friends all to herself.
3) What makes your story interesting for readers? Why should they read your book?
3) Irrespective of the setting of the story, which is in Nigeria. Every high schooler would agree with me that they want to be popular in school and my chapter 1 caught everyone's attention, about the kind of popularity Dami had then. Everyone loves cliche and scenes like this, not everyone though. My readers would love to read it because I give them the best and the least they expect. People should read my book because asides being interesting it teaches you a lot about life and how to handle some situations.
4) What/who inspired you to write this story?
4) I started writing this book when I was 12 years old. I'm sure no one will believe me. A times, I'll sit in the open area, imagining scenes and playing it in my head and I thought, why not write this down. That's where I invented my quote on my bio "imagination's can be put down on paper, there you have it, a book! " I imagined scenes and got my book.
5 tell us who your favorite character and most hated character is and why
5) My favorite character is Kelvin Brown and my most hated character is Pamela (you'll find out soon enough) Why? I love Kelvin because, apart from being the normal American bad boy type, he has Christ values in him. You know everyone sees American kids as spoilt but, he is different and being different is what I stand for. Positive difference though. Then Pamela, I dislike her because she tried to blackmail Dami and make her look bad in front of everyone, including Michael junior.
6)What made you start writing on Wattpad?
6) I don't really know. I guess I wanted to start writing and publishing my books online before I misplace my manuscript again and again. Also, I want to make cool cash from it
7) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
7) I'll be 30 then. Hmm... On boxing day? I'd be on vacation with my husband, two children and family and we'll be having a great time.
8) Say something to beginner writer and something to our fellow readers
Hey! I'm a beginner too yuuno! Well, just believe in yourself and ask God and the holy Spirit for directions. If not you then who can!!!! And to the readers, same thing and don't forget to encourage writers instead of criticism. Your massive support is highly appreciated ❤️ One love!
9) How did the idea of this story get to your mind?
9) My younger sister (Debby) and I had this habit of staying up late every night to tell stories and she said "The girls pad fell down from her panties and she didn't notice". Till tomorrow, I wonder how we Believed something like that could happen. That's when I decided to write something of that nature.
10) lastly is there anything you would like to add?
10) You can check out my other book, and books to come. Don't forget to follow up. I'll give you the best and only the best!!! Also, VOTE ⭐ and share your thoughts with me ⚡❤️
