Q: In the story, you portray Lilliana as the girl who has been abused by her drunken father and also has been claimed by a mafia leader. Have you ever thought of another scenario for Lilliana when you first wrote this story?
A: Yes. I actually thought of having her as the girl with the perfect life who gets sold off to a mafia
Q: How did you come up with the idea of writing that story?
A:I had actually written a book the year before but ended deleting my account so when I was caught up in reading, I realized that the writer's plots didn't satisfy me so I decided to write a book to my liking
That's good. It's better to be satisfied with the story before satisfying the readers.
Q: Out of all the titles, why did you choose the title If Only? What's the meaning behind it?
A:I actually had started with running but as I continued writing, I came to realize that the life she had been submitted to wasn't about getting away from him, it was about the choices. So I chose If Only because she didn't have an option starting from her father to Elijah and she wished she had that choice for her life to be what she dreamed it would be.
That really touched me.
Q: Does the book you've written play a part of your life?
A: Not really. It's all fictional.
Okok :) That's good.
Q: Have you ever had any doubts about your book? If so, have you overcome that doubt?
A:I do have doubts because sometimes when I write, I start off well but in the midst, I lose my focus and inspiration and no I haven't overcome it even though I now have an editor, it's like I want to do it all by myself, but I feel like I'm not doing enough.
I feel you. Once you continue writing, you start losing it. And it slowly feels like this is not the result you wanted. But having an editor doesn't mean that you're not enough. Because a lot of writers also have an editor helping them out :)
Q: What do you prefer using when you read a book? Printed book or ebooks?
A:I like using ebooks because it's more interesting than pages.
