Chapter 2:The Ghost of Sir Reginald Hargreeves

Klaus POV :

I didn't know what happened .

I think I feel asleep after my break fast .

I must be tired considering I slept the whole day .

I decided to wait for another few hours before closing the office down .

After it was time to close I noticed that an old lady was sitting in the waiting room.

I told her I was closing down right now .

But when I got a closer look at her I realized that the lady was a ghost .

She looked at me unfazed by the fact I could see her .

I sighed and closed he shop and headed for my home .

I saw that the ghost lady looked sad . Great ! Now my heart is going to kill me .

I sighed and went to the lady and asked her what happened ?

She said that today was her grandsons biggest movie release in the cinema and she couldn't go there .

It was a odd request but I decided to screw it and take the lady to the movie .

I took the lady to the cinema and booked two seats and ignored the weird look of the cashier .

I then took the lady to our seats and sat down .

After an hour and 30 minutes we came out of the cinema after watching the movie .

It was actually a good movie  . It was based on a romance novel . Basically there was a lawyer in a wheel chair and her lover .

The lover was played by the lady's grandson and the lawyer was played by the actress Allison Hargreeves.

I didn't watch a lot of movies and this was like my 11th or 12th movie .

Yeah I know I am not a movie type of person .

I told the ghost lady whose name was Emma that the movie was awesome .

Emma nodded with tears in her eyes .

She suddenly stared to glow blue and bright . She asked me what's happening and I told her she is moving on .

She understood what I meant and she gave me a smile and thanked me and moved in to the afterlife .

Thank god no one saw us or else tomorrow's headlines would be "Ghost sported in Germany!".

It was unbeknownst to me that some where in the corner of the street someone did watch me and Emma , that someone was also a ghost .

But not just any ghost , it was the ghost of Sir Reginald hargreeves .

I went back to my apartment. I looked at the calendar and crossed today's date . Tomorrow will be 22nd March 2019 .

Meaning 7 months till I am 30 years old . Damn I am getting is very Fast .

I stretch myself and go to bed .

It was 10:00 pm when I closed my eyes and went to sleep .

But when I opened my eyes it was 4:17 am .

Why did I wake up so early ?

I look around the room and I yelp back in surprise when I see a ghost in my room .

The ghost was of an old man , he was wearing a monocle and he had intense eyes that screamed seriousness and behavior.

I said to the ghost: "Who are you and what were you doing here !?"

The ghost said : "I am Sir Reginald Hargreeves, but that doesn't matter , what matters is that I need you Number 4 to come to the umbrella Academy in New York right now !"

I was extremely confused I said : "what the hell is the umbrella Academy , and did you seriously wake me up from my sleep and you expect me to go from Germany to New York like right right now ? Like you expect me to move from one country to another like right away and my name isn't number 4 it's Klaus Jones".

Reginald's face hardened and said : "Number 4 ! It was supposed to be your name but your parents didn't let me take you , I am disappointed in you , I heard about you and you call yourself the Seance , I was amazed about your abilities to conjour the dead. But what you lack is behavior and respect. The fate of the world depends on you and you want to sleep ?!"

Damn this guy is crazy . I mean I am not the one who barged onto my room and without privacy woke me up and demanded me to take a flight to New York . I have never ever left Germany .  And this guy talks about respect ! I mentally scoff.

I then realize what he said and I asked : "what do you mean the fate of the world and what's this umbrella Academy , and if you want my help then you better call me Klaus not Number 4 or else I am out".

Reginald bit back a scowl and said : "Klaus , the world is about to end in a few days and I need you to join and help the umbrella Academy stop it . The umbrella Academy is a group of individuals like you who were born on the same day hour and time and year as you . And just like you they had no biological father , each of the kids were gifted with abilities far beyond the ordinary, and you are one of them , like I said before I was going to add you to the academy but your parents prevented me . Now , it's too late for second thoughts we need to leave . Now !"

Jeez this guy is weird as fuck !

Wait mom and dad did say that i was born out of no where one day .

And they did say that a man came to buy me . Could this be him ? It has to be .

Wait is the world actually going to end ?well I would't be surprised if it did.

But this Reginald guy could be a crazy ghost but what if he's telling the truth . What if there are actually other people with powers like me .! Maybe I could finally have some friends .

And I guess I could spare sone  time to save the world .

I tell reginald that I will go .

And he said : "Well done Klaus , I knew you were smarter than you looked".

Ouch this guy definitely didn't care about feelings .

I then said : "Wait I cant just leave like that , what about my home and office ?"

Reginald said : "Don't worry you can stay at my home as long as you want after you help save the world . You will have all the necessities you need and more , no one in the Academy other than me knows about you so I need you to prove to them that you were chosen by me . Tell them your Number 4 of the umbrella Academy . I suggest you convince pogo first and te rest will be easy. Don't disappoint me Klaus , now go save the world and make the umbrella Academy proud of its name ." 

And just like that the damn Reginald guy moves on to the after life leaving me with more questions than answers .

Just fucking great ! I think to myself .

Should I go or should I stay . It's not like I have anyone here and If what that Reginald guy said was true then maybe I could find a family or something to live for in this so called umbrella Academy .

I immediately pack up my suite case and pay the rent for the apartment .
I tell the owner I am leaving .

I sell my office and everything in it to a buyer who was actually bugging me to sell my  office to him cause then he could expand his shop .

I managed to do all this in less than 6 hours and by the end of the day I was in a flight from Germany to USA ,New York City .

I hope the people like me living in this umbrella Academy are nice or at least I hope one of them are .
