The working title for this chapter was 'the spiders and the bees'. It got changed but i thought i would still share it!

As you probably guessed by the title this is not a Peter Parker chapter, It Miles Morales. Enjoy!

Miles dodged as a punch came flying at him, he was surrounded by bee's who would take up the form of this evenings latest villain. Madame Swarm.

The two had been head to head a few times and miles wasn't lying when he though that she could bee  a bit of a pain. Literally, it hurt quite a lot when you were being repeatedly stung by hundreds of bees.

"You got this Spiderman!" Miles didn't need to look towards the voice to recognize it as his dad's. For the last few weeks Jefferson had been almost like a cheerleader. After a previous incident Jefferson had started to stay further away from the battle but still keeping an eye on the vigiante. There was something far more likable about the new Spiderman, he didn't know what. He seemed to repect him and the other officers a lot more than the other guy. He wasn't sure but by his voice, which he desperatly tried to deepen, seemed to be that of a teenager, someone similar in age to Miles. And, not that he would admit it, he found himself growing some what protective of the new spiderman, he was so small and sweet. He also always knew when to hang around and when to leave.
Miles had just finished a short battle with Electra. She hadn't had time to get her weapons so he had managed to catch her off guard, giving him a clear advantage over her. He looked over and saw his dad, He had started 'looking' out for Miles every night and the teenager was in a constant state of fear that he might top his guard for a minute and let something slip, or do something like give him a hug, like he did after the kingpin things.
He walked over to him and lowered his voice, hoping to give the appearance his was older than he actually was.
"Hello Officer, I hope I didn't cause too much disturbance to your night. Anyway, I will be going. Busy night. Bye Dad!"
Miles walked away before the realisation of what he just said dawned on him what he had said. His father had been suspicious of him anyway but now he had just confirmed it. Would he be angry? It was a complete accident getting his powers and he though his father would be more annoyed about him getting weird spider powers and NOT doing anything about it, but he was putting himself in danger every night and Jefferson was kind of over protective.
Jefferson stopped still as he heard what the Spider-Man had said. Had he just called him Dad? That was it, it was clear that the spider now viewed him as a father figure and he was going to make that dream come true. HE WAS GOING TO ADOPT SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!!
The real question was how was he going to tell Miles, he had always been a huge fan of Spider-Man, Jefferson had even found a replica of the suit in his cupboard. Would it be strange for him to see his hero as a brother, then there was the issue of Spider-Mans identity. He hadn't told anyone who he really was, would he trust Jefferson enough to reveal who he actually was?
The entire drive back home Jefferson also panicked about telling Rio. She had never mentioned wanting another child yet there he was wanting to adopt the local vigilante! He walked through the door and saw that miles's bag was by the door, so he was probably also home. That helped, at least he could ask them both at the same time?
The three of them sat down in an awkward silence. Everyone was aware that Jefferson had something to say and was waiting for it,
"So, I eer, I want to adopt Spider-Man." Miles choked on his drink, this was not the direction he planned this night going and by the expression in his mom's face it was clear that she didn't either. "I know it's sudden b it k think he's about your age Miles, and he called me dad earlier. I haven't asked him yet but I would do it if it's alright with you."
Miles was not quite sure how to react to it, he could go along with it and prolong this until the last minute but with Peter gone and Gwen away at her worlds 'battle of the bands' there wasn't even anyone he could ask for help. Or he could say straight out. He certainly wasn't the best liar, that much was for certain. But it was probably the best option for now.
"I am defiantly not Spider-Man!" He shouted, feeling regretful that he decided he should lie, the 'Who's morales' thing coming back to him.
"I mean, I think we should think about the possibility that maybe Spider-Man has parents?" Hoping that that would be enough to cover his tracks, Miles quickly became very interested at the food on his plate. Because of this he was completely oblivious to the looks his parents were giving him and the other.
