«Watch it all fall down.»

Third person's P.O.V. again lol I'm sorry

Luke's heart was racing as he walked down the hallway, to Sierra's locker. He had decided to follow Niall and Lily's advice and talk to her. He had nothing to lose, after all. If she eventually ended up liking him, he would have asked her out. And if she didn't… Well, at least they could have become friends.
He spotted the girl in the crowd, opening her red locker. Luke tried to gather up his courage and walked up to her, before he could change his mind.
Sierra saw him and smiled. "Hi, Luke."
"Hey" he said, his voice shaking a bit. "I… Lily told me you're a singer too, right?"
The girl nodded. "Yup. Can we… talk about this sometimes? Like, maybe this afternoon, if you want. We can go out for an ice cream or something."
Luke felt something weird in his chest. Did he have a serious crush or was he about to die?
"Perfect! I can pick you up at 4 p.m. if it's okay."
"Okay. See you later, then!"
"Wait! Don't you have Biology now?" he asked. "I can walk with you. I'm in the room next to you anyway."
Sierra smiled at him.
Were those butterflies in his stomach or was he just hungry?

KayKay wasn't feeling alright either.
She was almost sure she was sick, and her sickness got worse every time she got close to Crystal, and when her friend smiled she felt like she could faint.
Maybe she just liked her. But how could she be sure?
"Kay! Are you okay?" Crystal asked, interrupting her friend's thoughts. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
The blue haired girl shook her head. "It's nothing, I'm fine."
"Hm, if you say so. Come on, take your notebook" Crystal said, pointing at Kay's locker. "We'll be late to class."
"Can't we skip school for once?"
"Kay, I can't-"
"Why not?" KayKay asked. "Come on. Just once, just one hour. Please?"
Crystal sighed and stopped to think for a while. Kay kept looking at her. She was really, really cute. And he could easily see herself being with her. She was pretty sure she liked her.
"Okay, okay, whatever. Just an hour, okay?"
"Promise" Kay smiled. "I need to tell you something."

Back to Lily's P.O.V. because I said so

"Oh, you're here finally!" KayKay exclaimed, seeing me walk into the bathroom. She had texted me during Maths class, asking me to come to the bathroom as soon as possible. She had something to tell me, apparently.
"Hey, Kay. What's up?"
"Lils, I asked Crystal out" she smiled, her eyes shining with joy.
"Really?" I asked. "Everybody's getting boyfriends and girlfriends these days. How did it go?"
"I have a date this evening. I'll take her out for dinner and then we're going to the cinema. Mum bought me tickets" she explained. I didn't even need my powers to see how much she liked Crystal.
I smiled. "Good luck, then, Kay. You'll be the cutest couple of the whole school!"
"News about Luke?" she asked. "How did he take the news about you and Michael?"
I shrugged. "He's fine. He doesn't like Michael anymore, apparently. He's into Sierra now."
"And she likes him back!" she commented. "They're lucky."
I nodded. "Very. We'll have another couple soon, I guess."
"We have you and Michael, hopefully Crystal and I, Cal and Ash, Harry and Louis, Zayn and Liam and now Luke and Sierra too" she said, counting on her fingers. "Seven couples in one friend group. That's a lot!"
"Definitely. Speaking about couples…" I hesitated, checking my phone to see what time it was. "I need to go back to class before it ends, or Michael'll get worried. Call me later if you need help to pick out a dress, okay?" I asked, walking out the bathroom.
"I will. Thanks, Lily!"

"Hey. What happened?" Michael whispered when I got back to class.
"Kay asked Crystal out," I explained. "They're going on a date later." He looked surprised. "Well, I'm happy for them. Talking about dates…"
"Clifford, Heart. Do I have to report you both to Mr. Collins?" snapped the teacher.
"No, Mrs. Johnson. Sorry" Mikey said, before ripping a piece of paper from his notebook. He wrote something and passed the note to me.
«What I was saying is that I'd like to take you on a date one of these days, if you want me to.»
A smile appeared on my face before I could even realize it. I looked at him and nodded.
He was smiling too.

"Hi guys" greeted Ash, passing by my and Michael's lockers.
"Hi!" I smiled, while Michael replied with a dry "hey".
"What's up, Ash?"
"Nothing much. I wanted to talk to you, Michael" he said, getting the redhead's attention.
"About what?"
"I need to apologize to you, Mike. I didn't mean to get so mad at you and..."
"You don't need to apologize for that, Ashton" Michael sighed. "I think it's my fault, mostly. I wanted the best for Lily, and I thought about you. I didn't realize how that could make you feel."
Ash smiled and nodded. "I understand. Well, see you at lunch!" he said, starting to walk away. Cal was waiting for him in front of their classroom. "Bye, Ash" I waved.
Michael smiled and turned back to his locker, without a word. He was happy, I could feel it.
"So, about that date" I started. "When and where?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. I was thinking Saturday night."
I nodded. "That's perfect."
"We can have a walk on the beach like the last time."
"Last time it wasn't a date" I argued arching a brow.
"That's irrelevant. It was fun anyway."
"Can't argue with that."
Michael grinned. "Last night was more fun though."
"I know, you idiot" I laughed, blushing. "I noticed."

That day was going better than usual.
Of course there had to be problems.
The peace ended at lunch. I was with my friends at my table while Kay and Crystal were telling us about their date while Sierra and Luke kept staring at each other and smiling.
But apparently Mr. Collins didn't want to leave us alone.
He appeared out of nowhere behind us, grabbing my and Michael's shoulders. "Heart, Clifford. Come with me."
We looked at each other. "What do you think he's doing?" I heard Mikey think.
"No idea."
We obeyed and followed him down a corridor. I had never been on that side of the building.
He went into an empty classroom, expecting us to do the same. The door closed on its own behind Michael's shoulders.
"So, Heart. I read your essay. You thought you had fooled me, didn't you?"
"I- what?" I asked. What was he talking about?
"I know who your friend is, the angel you mentioned in the text. I can see Clifford's wings, you know."
I heard Michael swear in his head for the first time since I had met him. The situation wasn't the best, apparently.
"You also focused mostly on the central figure of the painting, the angel. But you clearly didn't recognize and analyze the context."
"What's… What's so important about that?" I asked.
"This event is more likely to happen than you think" explained Mr. Collins, examining the picture of that painting. Then he turned it around to show us. "What is this, Clifford?"
Michael got pale after he noticed what was going on in the picture. "That's… Isn't that the Apocalypse?"
Mr. Collins nodded, slowly. "That's right, Clifford."
"Wait, you said it could happen soon," Mikey said. "How do you know that?"
Mr. Collins smiled. I still hated it when he did that. "I know it because I will be the one to start the process, Clifford. But I won't pay the price it comes with."
"What is he talking about?" I whispered, looking up at my boyfriend. I wasn't used to calling him that yet.
He was looking at the teacher, dead serious. "You'll start the Apocalypse and blame someone else."
"You're smarter than you look, Clifford."
"But… why?" I asked. "And what does that have to do with me and Michael?"
"You see, Heart," he explained. "Despite what you might think of me, I was an angel once. Just like your friend, here."
"Okay… so what?"
"Do you have an idea of why I'm stuck here?" he asked. I shook my head.
"I'm not so different than you two. There was this woman. My assigned human."
"Shit" Michael whispered, loud enough for me to hear. I took his hand, trying to calm him down.
"I loved her, and that's why I'm a fallen angel. So, as you can see, history is just repeating itself, but with one simple difference" he explained, taking a couple of steps towards us. "I paid the price for my actions. Unlike you, Clifford."
"I will eventually pay for this, I'm sure" Michael argued, trying to keep me as close as possible. "I just don't know when."
"Soon enough, Clifford. If you're not downgraded to fallen angel by the end of this week or if you haven't given up on Heart yet, I'll personally make sure that you pay the price you deserve. You can't have everything. You'll have to choose. What do you value more, your precious wings or your dear friend?"
"Leave Lily out of this."
"No, Clifford. If I couldn't stay an angel and be with… her, then you can't have Heart without paying the same price."

||In the next chapter...||
"We'll find her" I said, determined to fulfill this promise. "What's her name?"
"Olivia, but everybody calls her Liv."
[...]
"Maybe it's better for you if you let me go."
[...]
I looked at Michael and I only whispered two words. "Mr. Collins."
