A/N Please don't take offence to anything, if something is the same name or whatever, it is purely coincidental. Also, the mortals in this will be meeting a lot more demigods than Percabeth... *laughs evilly for no reason*. On to the story.

You're probably thinking that this is going to be one of those stories where the person who's telling it gets all sappy and talks about having a crush on another person. It's not. Boys are most often stupid, and I have no interest whatsoever in ever being romantically involved with anybody, boy or girl. It's just not my thing, primarily because 99% of the boys that I've come into contact with are idiot jerks who think they own the world. News flash people, you don't! The one percent of boys I've met who aren't idiotic jerks are the ones in our friend group. But I'm still not interested.

The names of the two boys that I can manage to stand are Michael Telly and Percy Jackson. The other people in the group are my best friend Kenzi Hatian, and our other friends, Ciara O'Brien (she's Irish), and Marlee Woodwork. Michael's here because he's dating Kenzi, and Percy's in the group because us three girls were being bullied by the school slu-bully, Margie Mellerton, and he stopped her. We've been friends ever since.

Anyways, all my life I've seen strange things, straight from mythology. So this isn't the story of how I obsessed over Percy, it's the story of how I got to were I am now. And how I met Percabeth, who are cute even if I don't like romance.

We'd just graduated from Goode High School. We made plans to meet in Central Parks to celebrate the summer before Percy went to his special camp for ADHD and dyslexic people, and we went on our vacations. Before I go farther, I should explain something. Both of my parents are dead, they died when I was one in a car accident. At that point in time, I was in my eighth foster home. They didn't abuse me, exactly, they just kind of ignored me. I got enough to eat and everything, but let's just say I was be happy to relocate. So we'd made plans for a picnic, and Percy said that he was going to bring his girlfriend from camp that he was always talking about, as well as a couple of other friends. It wasn't like they would be intruding, or anything, we had been wanting to meet his camp friends for a while. So we decided on a time and went our separate ways.

-----Ava will now take you to the day at Central Park, because apparently Shelly didn't like the job and was only doing it because she was my friend, so now she will no longer be time-skipping you, Ava will.-----

I was the first one there, closely followed by Kenzi and Michael, and then Marlee, and Ciara a few minutes later. After ten minutes, a van pulled up. On the sides were the words: Delphi Strawberry Service. Eleven people tumbled out of the doors. First was Percy, holding the hand of a blond girl with stormy grey eyes and curls reaching down her back. That must be Annabeth. Percy is always talking about her, as well as his other friends, so we have a pretty good idea of what the look like. Next, was another couple, a Cherokee girl with choppy brown hair and kaleidoscope eyes, and a boy with blond hair, vibrant blue eyes, and a small scar above his lip. These must be Piper and Jason (like I said, Percy talks a lot about his camp friends).

After that, yet another couple came out holding hands, a muscly boy with close-cropped black hair and brown eyes, and a slightly younger girl with a cloud of curly cinnamon hair and eyes that seemed to be gold. Frank and Hazel. I always thought Percy was exaggerating when he said Hazel had golden eyes, but I guess not. Following them, came two boys who weren't holding hands, but were standing close and continually whispering to each other. One had blond hair and blue eyes, similar to Jason, but this guys eyes looked more like the sky on a summer day. Meanwhile, the other had pale skin, brown eyes that looked almost black, and black hair. Will and Nico.

Next was a girl with caramel hair pulled into a side braid, and dark almond shaped eyes, along with a guy that looked sort of like a hispanic elf, having curly black hair and brown eyes. The guy is Leo, and the girl is... it was a weird name... Callie? No, Calypso! Then there was a guy with a rasta style cap on, and some sort of walking disorder. Grover. Last was a girl with short cut, choppy black hair that had a silver circlet in it, and the same eyes as Jason. The circlet was kind of weird, but Percy had said she would be wearing it. This was Thalia.

After introductions (I'd gotten everyone right), Percy flopped down on a picnic blanket like a fish, the rest sitting down as well. We talked, and ate food, and just generally had a good time. I'd made ten new good friends that day. We were just packing up, and saying our goodbyes, when out of nowhere, 15 griffins swooped down and attacked. I mentioned I'd seen weird stuff before, but nothing like this! It was always just in passing, so that I couldn't be sure if I actually saw it, or in dreams. This was different. "Why on earth are giant pigeons attacking us????!!!!" screamed Kenzi, clearly freaking out. "Stupid mutated pigeons, where did you even come from?!" Annabeth and Percy looked at each other. "Mutated pigeons. That's new," Annabeth commented. "Yup," Percy replied. Why were the others calling them mutated pigeons?

Percy took out his special pen that nobody was allowed to touch, and, upon his uncapping it, it suddenly grew into a gleaming bronze sword. What on earth?! Annabeth grabbed a bronze dagger, made of the same material as Percy's sword, from a sheath I hadn't noticed before, and when I looked around, I realized all of Percy's friends had weapons, made either of bronze like Percy and Annabeth's, or some sort of gold that looked different than normal gold, in a sort of glow-y way, except for Nico. His long sword was some sort of iron that seemed to suck all the light out of the air. And then there was Leo, who just held up his hands, one of which was holding a hammer. They went to work on the griffins, who never stood a chance.

One swooped down at Percy, who slashed at it cutting off one of its wings. As it spiraled down, unable to keep flying with only one wing, Percy stabbed it in the chest, and with a final cry of protest emitting from its beak, it burst into golden dust. The dust would have settled on Percy's shoulders, but he was already on the move, fighting the other griffins.

Annabeth slashed her dagger across a griffin's throat, and it too, burst into dust. As Annabeth was doing this, a griffin swooped at her unprotected back, but Percy was suddenly there, fighting it off. The others were all doing the same, effectively killing the griffins. Grover was playing frantically on his pipes. Leo was shooting fire at them, and I would have stared, but at this point, my brain was on overload. The big, burly Frank, had a bow and arrow, but at this close range, he couldn't shoot, so instead he was shifting form - lion, to gorilla, to tiger - I think he may have even been a dragon at one point. Like I said, my brain was on overload.

Once all of the griffins were dead and gone, My friends started talking. Kensi started talking, rather. "What the heck?! Why were their mutated pigeons?! Why did you guys have rulers and flamethrowers to get them away?! Did you expect this to happen?! Are we in a TV show or something?!" "No, Kenzi. Nothing happened. We just wanted to talk to Elena for a bit remember?" Thalia's voice sounds weird. Like she's injecting power into it or something.

I go with them to a grove of trees a little ways away, where the others won't be able to hear us talk. They give me the low down. How they're demigods, and Grover's a satyr, their powers, how Thalia's a Hunter of Artemis. The Hunt sounds pretty cool. Thalia starts to talk. "So Elena, Percy tells me you have a low opinion of men and romance in general. How would you like to join the Hunt? I think explained all the rules and what would happen when we were talking. I nod my head eagerly. "No boys is good enough, but add immortality to the deal? I'm in. Plus, it will get me away from my foster home, and I'm done High School, so that won't be a problem." Thalia responds with enthusiasm and swears me into the Hunt.

So that was how I met Percabeth and friends, and how I joined the Hunt. Best decision I've ever made.

A/N There we go. Another chapter, and a semi long one too! Please give me feedback, did you like how I did it, what could I do better, that kind of thing. And still please, no hate comments. Feel free to give constructive criticism, just no hate. Hope you liked the chapter, and have a good day.
