it was only a few days after when prince Min Hyung found out that she was sick but couldn't go over since he was very busy so being the sweet gentleman he is , he decided to send his well wishes to her and this time with a very sweet looking watermelon . she had bursted in a big laugh as she saw his gift , definitely realising the prince's love for the fruit as it had appeared alongside them for a couple occasions now .
she opened the letter and it read ,
" dear princess ,
i heard you had fallen sick with the work you had to catch up on the past few days . i hope you don't overwork yourself much and take care of your health seriously . my brothers and i are missing your lovely companionship and are looking forward to seeing you at the year-end ball this year . be sure to have the watermelon when you need energy , i love it very much and definitely love you too .

she decided to write him back a letter ,
" dear prince Min Hyung ,
i had a great laugh thanks to the gift you have sent me . i am feeling much better now and will continue to be well . i'll be sure to send over a gift the next time i can . i was rather flattered to see your love confession to me , i'm not quite sure whether i love you . meanwhile , i have missed you all as well but am saddened to say that i would not be attending the year-end ball in light of the recent event that had happened .

she had finally came to the last work to be done which was the year-end ball that was to be held annually but because of what had happened on prince Chen Le's birthday ceremony , she decided to avoid ceremonies for the rest of the year . she wasn't sober at the time but as an over thinker , she could feel what she would've then .
she thought about the things she heard all around when she had left the palace and went past the village of neo kingdom . rumours were all about prince Jeno almost beating prince Hyung Sik to death and she shivers to even think about it . the prince didn't look anything like someone who would do such a thing since he looks rather soft on the outside . of course , she shouldn't judge him based on how he looks like . she decided to shrug that thought off and asked Ivy to send off the letter to the prince .
meanwhile at Neo Dream Kingdom , the 7 princes were having a meeting. "i think we should have a ceremony for the new years. after all, i learnt a lot more from princess Hae Won" the oldest prince proposed the idea and the rest of them had focused only on the mention of the princess. "so if it weren't for her, you wouldn't think of this idea?" he rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue. "that's not the point. i just think we should get closer to the villagers"
the rest of them nodded their heads but prince Dong Hyuck had thought of something. "we could set off the fireworks, chat with the villagers and then make our way to the North Kingdom. i mean, i miss the princess." he was a natural flirt and they knew that but the oldest prince glared at him while the others held their laughters in. "yeah we could do that"
weeks passed and it was finally new years as the princess made her way to the village to have a celebration with her citizens for the new years . when it was time , she set off the fireworks and it had made everyone excited . her eyes were sparkling as she looked at the colourful fireworks , secretly wishing someone else was there beside her .
"happy new year" someone had walked to her side and greeted her after hours. she looked up to the side and saw prince Jeno looking at the sky. she was disappointed of course, but she said it back. "happy new year , your highness"
"just call me Jeno, i don't mind it. you must be disappointed that i'm here right?" he basically saw right through her. " oh no, of course not. i'm happy to have your company" they laughed it off and continued to look at the fireworks silently . then, the princess felt something resting on her shoulders and ended up making eye contact with prince Min Hyung. she turned around to see the other 5 princes waving at her which she then smiled.
"are you all not busy?" she asked and some looked away while the others nodded. "you should've celebrated the new years with the villagers. why waste time coming here?" she turned into a nagging pain and the princes started fidgeting. "anyways , we missed you"
