"so , when are we going to reveal the comeback of the amazing prince Ro Woon?" she whispered to her brother and he shrugged . " oh ! there's a masquerade ball soon for the annual year-end ball looks like it would be a great opportunity" he shook his head at the excited princess .
a week had passed and it was prince Chen Le's birthday yet again . she was so nervous as the last time she had met prince Min Hyung , it didn't end very well and she wasn't sure how he would react again . her worried expression was visible , making her brother pat her back to reassure her . she took a deep breath before they left the palace and to the neo kingdom . " from now , i'm your bodyguard . don't go off on your own , alright ? i heard about what happened last year"
she got reminded of what had happened and she nodded . she knew the same thing wouldn't happen again but she was still scarred . she was in the middle of her thoughts when they arrived and came back to reality only after prince Ro Woon had tapped her on the back . she stepped down from the carriage and looked up at the huge palace , taking deep breaths before entering with her brother .
as soon as she walked through the huge door , her eyes met with his . she was about to greet him but he walked away right after looking at her brother . her face instantly grew gloomy and she looked down while sighing . all her brother could do was pat her back and say "it's okay" .
all of a sudden , someone grabbed the princess and she looked up to see prince Jeno glaring at her brother . when he pulled her away , prince Ro Woon had grabbed her other arm . the tension was high as they both glared at each other . "i'll be back , don't worry" her brother had no choice but to let go .
" i heard he almost killed you . why is he by your side now , are you nuts?" the first thing he did was to get mad and she really didn't want to expose his identity just yet but seems like she has to . " i talked to him already and i've got my memories back . he's my brother , your highness" his face immediately changed , looking confused .
" i've never seen him before , are you sure he's your brother ?" she sighed and scratched her forehead . "seemed like father separated us when we were young , he could only watch us from afar" she looked up and continued , "i hope you can keep this a secret until the year-end ball . i was thinking of announcing his identity then but you sounded mad so i just had to clear the misunderstanding"
" alright , i'm sorry for my reaction . Min Hyung seemed like he's jealous after all , make it up to him as soon as you announce it" she nodded and they made their way back to her brother . he looked anxious so she decided to ask him what was up . "are you alright ? you looked worried" he tilted his head to the front and she looked at a woman who was a little shorter than her and had a really beautiful smile . "do you think you remember her?" she looked closely and shook her head .
"princess Hye Yoon , my first love" her jaw dropped and she couldn't help but look closely again . she did look a little familiar but maybe it didn't really come up in her mind as they lacked of communication .
" she's pretty , alright . should we talk to her ? hey princes-" he immediately covered her mouth and pulled her away .
"are you out of your mind ? if someone recognises me , we're doomed . that's why i'm using this" he lifted his thin cloth that was covering his face slightly . "fine" she clicked her tongue and decided to walk over to the 7 princes but her brother held her arm . "i'll just be there , you can see me just fine" he gave a slight nod and let her go .
"hey" she waved slightly as she walked towards the princes . they gave her a smile except for one so she avoided eye contact . "i told the guys" she glared at him and whispered, "do you understand what secrets are?!"
he sighed and clicked his tongue . "i had no choice, would you rather 1 be jealous at you or 6 be mad at you?" she gave it a thought and couldn't help but nod . "we'll go tend to the other guests ! you two have fun" prince Ren Jun said and dragged the others away , leaving the two royals silent and to stand awkwardly .

"you make me go crazy. seriously , why?!" her heart ached when he yelled and at this point she had tears in her eyes . she stepped back , eventually running to her brother . she snatched prince Chen Le's birthday present from her brother and found him talking to the rest of his brothers , interrupting them . "sorry , i can't stay any longer. here's your gift , happy birthday your highness." she walked away , dragging her brother as they left the palace .
for the rest of the week , she had stayed in her office occupying herself with work . of course , she frequently thinks of him and had asked herself over and over again whether she was being too sensitive . in fact , she was . prince Min Hyung had all rights to feel what he felt and she should've said the truth since the beginning .
