TIME SKIP
she walked over to the ballroom where all of the staffs were working together to put up decorations for her first birthday celebration since she was bored .
her obsession with the colour pink was displayed clearly in the room . table clothes were pink , tissue papers were pink , basically everything was pink and white . it emitted a lovely energy just like the princess . " Hae Won , are you sure you've rested enough ?" Ivy was concerned for the health of the princess but she said it was fine and that she would like to help as well .
thanks to the princess's help , the work was done in no time . everyone had free time now that there was nothing to be done in the palace . when she arrived in her room , she threw a fit as the date weren't coming by faster than she thought .
days went by and finally , the day she had been waiting for came . she put on a fancy red gown to go well with the decorations . she was satisfied but when she looked at Ivy and Min Jung , she slapped her forehead . she sighed and picked out outfits for them to wear and they became elegant instantly with the princess's touch . " thank you , Hae Won ." they both said and left to greet the guests who had arrived .
she specifically was looking out for the one but saw no signs of him anywhere so when she was done greeting the recent guest , she left to the lawn for a walk since everything was so overwhelming with the attention she was receiving .
when she was walking by the old tree , she saw a group of gentlemen , maybe not so since they were all fooling around outside the gate . she walked towards them and cleared her throat and they turned their heads to her in sync . she was surprised to see the princes there and quickly greeted them .
" thank you for attending my birthday ceremony , your highnesses ." they bowed in return .
" our brother went in early to look for you , didn't you see him on your way ?" her eyes lit up at the mention of their brother because who else was it ? she shook her head and without waiting for their words , she ran in to look for him . the boys eyed each other and knew their exact thoughts . ' they were in love'
standing right there as if the light was shining only on him , she ran towards him but stopped when she saw the sight of a woman having her hands on his chest . her heart got squeezed in an instant and made her run out again quickly before anyone could see . though it was too late because the 6 men had seen her face and reaction when they entered right after her . they sighed , having both prince Jeno and Ren Jun run after her .
the princess was silently sobbing behind the old tree which had bushes around it which was hard for the two princes to spot her . when they did , she was a great mess as her dress had leaves on it and her hair was down , covering her face .
" you should sit , Hae Won ." prince Jeno held her arm and had her sit on the bench as prince Ren Jun handed her the handkerchief for her to wipe her tears . she was surprised that they could find her but was too busy thinking about earlier as it did took a toll on her .
meanwhile , prince Jae Min , Dong Hyuck , Chen Le and Ji Sung made their way to their older brother . prince Dong Hyuck pushed the woman away and the older one sighed , thanking him . " are you stiff or what ? you could've just pushed her away ." prince Ji Sung shook his head and commented .
" Jeno and Ren Jun are on their way to the princess , who knows she might've fainted . saw her running out from the palace ." prince Min Hyung immediately tried finding for her but she was already entering the room , followed by prince Jeno and Ren Jun .
the kids from the orphanage ran towards her and she tidied her hair before bending down and hugging every single one of them while smiling brightly . his heart ached when he saw her slightly red eyes and slowly walked towards her . she looked up and stared at him . as if nothing happened , she bowed and greeted him . " thank you for coming , your highness ." her greeting wasn't the excited , overhyped princess who hugged him like before and she definitely didn't address him by his name .
she walked past him right after as if nothing had happened but before she went up the stage to make a speech , she walked to the woman who was flirting with him . she grabbed her collar and pulled her towards her . " hands off my man if you want to live ." she released her and tidied her collar before giving a smile and going up the stage .
everyone was watching the princess and both Ivy and Min Jung was impressed at her calmness while the 6 princes were smiling .
" well , sorry about that . it only happens if you touch something that doesn't belong to you . anyways , good evening to everyone who is present in this ballroom . thank you so much for coming to my first birthday ceremony and i hope everyone will have a good time here . the first dance will commence soon at my lovely music manager's queue . thank you ." she stepped off the stage and glared at the woman before changing her eyes .
she walked to prince Min Hyung as he froze , staring at the beautiful youth who was smiling at him . " hey , prince Min Hyung ." he smiled as he heard his name from her once again . he hugged her tight and sighed in relief .
just like in his birthday ceremony , both of them started off the first dance and they were having so much fun the atmosphere had changed from before . when the song ended , the princess had just remembered that he had a gift for prince Jae Min since she couldn't attend his birthday ceremony the other time .
