princess Hae Won had concerns about the year-end ball . after all it's her first and she wants it to be perfect . it was a masquerade ball and she didn't want to wear the eye mask because it was easy to spot who's who and she doesn't get the point of it but all in all , she just wanted to have fun .
"this colour doesn't suit you" her eyes were out of focus and prince Ro Woon had already tried on his 15 suit , getting very tired . "we've been going on for thirty minutes, can't we choose one and get over it?"
"fine, whatever you pick" her brother sighed and told the assistants he would get a simple black suit that fitted him very well . "are you still stressed about him? c'mon , Hae Won. the ball is near and we don't have to hide my identity anymore after that so you can go and talk to him"
"who was the one who yelled at me?!" she lost it and shouted before leaving the room and back to hers immediately screaming into the pillow in frustration as she laid down on her stomach .
meanwhile in the palace at Neo Dream Kingdom , prince Min Hyung looked out of the window while thinking of that day . he had regretted shouting at the princess due to his jealousy and was now guilty . he was still mad , of course but he felt bad after seeing her tears . he sighed and went out of his room to the the lawn with a poetry book to read and get his mind off of it.
after a few minutes , prince Jeno walked towards him. "feeling guilty after that day huh? explains the reading stuff going on right now" he looked up and lifted the side of his lips slightly as his brother sat beside him. "maybe i was too jealous over it. i mean, she probably doesn't even think of me the way i do of her"
"there you go again, every time you feel negative you'd overthink and come out here to read" prince Min Hyung smiled and fidgeted with the book. "are you hearing yourself right now? anyone who looks at the two of you would know that you are both deeply in love. just apologise to her when the ball comes. also a bonus for you, i think you would look extraordinary in that suit she gave you. wear it then." he then left the older one alone to think amongst the nature.
he couldn't sit still any longer and went back to his office to write a letter then have his messenger deliver it before handling official matters.
the next day-
"miss me, cousin?" a knock on the door and greetings heard. prince Min Hyung broke into a big smile as he hugged the older male.
prince Chittaphon from Neo V Kingdom, who is one of the many cousins of the brothers from Neo Dream Kingdom.
"thank you for agreeing to help me, big brother."
"anything for you. i suppose it's for the princess in the rumours huh" prince Min Hyung's eyes immediately grew big as he didn't know words spread that fast across nations. "all of them knows, they're excited to see you during the year-end ball. it has been too long"
after chatting for awhile, prince Min Hyung showed a sketch to prince Chittaphon but he couldn't help laughing at the weird looking design. the prince who drew it was embarrassed as they both kept laughing even when the others came to see what happened. "come on, i'll do it" they sat down and the older one started to sketch until the other finally got what he wanted. "wow the difference" prince Chen Le came to make fun of his older brother and ended up getting beaten up.
"thank you, brother. how are the rest of them?" he missed seeing the rowdy cousins meeting up and was wishing time could come faster so that they could all be together again. "the usual. i keep in touch with Young Ho a lot and he says Tae Yong and Do Young alongside him are trying to handle the others. troublemakers" he laughed, thinking of when they were younger.
"i'll see you soon then. looking forward to that special someone of yours" prince Chittaphon winked when he left the room and he could only laugh while shaking his head then looked at the beautiful sketch of the necklace.
"find me a place where i can make this" the staff looked at him with a confused face. "make it yourself, your highness?" he nodded and the staff immediately looked for a place. when he did, he made his way there to start making it since there wasn't any time left.
in the process, he was stubborn enough to strictly make it himself and only wanted the jewelry maker to instruct him on what to do. eventually, he had accidentally burnt himself with the coal and left a visible scar on his hand. he felt that it was worth it, for her.
"a scar? you should bandage it" prince Jae Min saw his scar even when it was slightly covered by the sleeves of his suit. "it's not a big deal" he gave a glare to the older prince and bandaged it anyways saying, "yeah and even if you don't do it, who will? the princess. do you really want her worried?" he shook his head and prince Jae Min knew it anyways.
"you better apologise during the year-end ball, stupid" and then he left, leaving him guilty yet again.
