"hello, your royal highnesses. i am princess Hae Won from the North Kingdom and i have an announcement. this man beside me is my brother" she stopped for awhile as the whole place turned upside down. "i hope everyone will be supportive of mine and prince Ro Woon's future endeavours. thank you"
from the middle of the ballroom, a princess stood frozen as the whole room was chaotic. her ears blocked all noises as she was shocked at the announcement. she walked stiffly, slowly to the prince who had just stepped off the stage.
"y-your highness? is that really you?" her eyes were watery as she looked at the familiar figure. when they made eye contact, she knew exactly that it was him. "you evil prince, why did you leave me all alone?!" she hugged him while crying and his heart ached as he rubbed her back. "i've missed you" prince Ro Woon and princess Hye Yoon had finally reunited.
his sister smiled to herself and walked away to where the Neo Dream princes were at. she took a deep breathe before mustering up her courage to talk to the prince. "i believe we have to talk" she pretended to be firm and he nodded before they walked over to the hallways.
"do you know how hard it was to keep it a secret?" she asked and pouted while looking to the ground. "i think i owe you an apology for my rash actions the other day. i'm sorry" she looked up and sighed. "i started it so i'm sorry" he took her hand and pulled her in to hug her. she finally felt comforted in his arms.
"oh i have something for you" he reached into his pocket and held out the necklace. her mouth opened as she looked at the beautifully designed necklace. "that's so beautiful" she was so stuck onto the design that she didn't notice the prince was walking closer to her. when his fingers accidentally touched her neck, she came back to her senses and noticed his face was right beside hers which made her nervous.
when he moved away, she noticed a red mark on his hand and held it. "w-wait, how did you get this mark?" she touched it slightly but the boy hissed in pain. "i accidentally burnt myself trying to do that necklace" she was surprised and instantly became gloomy as she looked at the necklace. "what's with that face? do you not like it?" she shook her head and gave him a hug. "i love it, of course but why weren't you careful with it? i hope you won't hurt yourself because of me again, okay?" he nodded and they walked back to the ballroom.
"hey, cousin!" a man greeted prince Min Hyung and he greeted back. he scanned the princess and squinted his eyes while looking at her. "is she...." he nodded and immediately recognised her from the necklace. "pleasure to meet you, your highness. i'm Min Hyung's cousin from Neo V kingdom" she immediately bowed.
soon later, a big group of men walked towards them and she was overwhelmed by a lot of new faces. "here are my cousins, i'm sure it's your first meeting with them" she was so confused as she wasn't sure how there was so many of them.
"Neo V Kingdom; Kun, Chittaphon, Xiao Jun, Hendery, Lucas and Yang Yang. Neo 127 Kingdom; Tae Il, Johnny, Tae Yong, Yuta, Do Young, Jae Hyun, Win Win, Jung Woo. last but not least, Neo U Kingdom; Sung Chan and Shotaro." there were too many names to digest but she managed to know them quite quickly.
"i hope you love the necklace, i designed it. his sketches were so bad, i wish you could see my face when i looked at it" he whispered to her and they laughed as prince Min Hyung showed a clear disappointed face. she just couldn't stop laughing and tried to hold it in when she looked at him. "i love it very much, thank you" she said when she had calmed down.
"so are you going to ignore me this time?" the prince earlier, Lucas, approached her. "i'm sorry, i had to" she said and continued, "prince Min Hyung gets jealous easily, you know" at this point of time, she was getting closer to some of his cousins.
they were all distractions for prince Min Hyung to go up on stage and make an announcement.
"greetings, your royal highnesses from around the globe. thank you for attending the year-end ball. i have a special announcement to a very special lady amongst everyone here tonight. we met two years ago, on my very special birthday. i caught her playing with a lost kitten and we had a conversation. she was clumsy countless of times," he paused and looked at her while smiling.
"and even so, i learned so much from her warm-hearted personality towards her citizens. at times, i even wonder if we had something for each
other-" he got interrupted when prince Dong Hyuck screamed, "THEY SURE DID!" which made the audience erupt laughters and made the two very embarrassed.
"well i guess we did and i'm here to officially ask her out," unlike their expected reaction, the room was silent. until someone amongst them had said, "why did it take so long?!" everyone agreed and made princess Hae Won laugh out loud which everyone turned to her and asked her what was her answer.
she gave a thinking face, making everyone's heart jump from nervousness even though they weren't the ones who were in prince Min Hyung's position.
"alright, come here" she extended her two arms for a hug from the prince and he immediately jumped down from the 500 metre tall stage which he fell from but got up anyways and hugged the princess.
he pulled away and smiled at her before giving her a kiss.
