Getting into College is difficult. Add in the fact it's the most prestigious hero academy in the whole world and you've got yourself quite the journey ahead. You weren't magical or super badass, you weren't a god nor a super genius. B...
Tugging him down, Loki let you take control, unable to figure out what you spotted. Eventually it came into sight, an entrance into the face of the cliff underwater. It was a risk, no doubt but the eagerness of your persistence made him shrug it off.
Grabbing the rock, you look back and gesture Loki to follow as you both swim up, seeing a break in the water for air. A gasp of air filled the shallow space, both inches away from each other.
"This was a dangerous whim to go on,"
"Yeah, but I couldn't stand watching Pietro and Hades making out for one more second," diving in the water to look around you spot a large hole. "Ready?" you resurface as he nods.
Pushing through until reaching the hole it was all worth it. This was spectacular. Blue glowed along the walls of each inch of the ceiling. Glow worms. The luminescent light bounced off your face to cloud it with a soft hue resembling that of Jotun skin.
"Isn't this gorgeous?"
"Yeah... you are," Loki mumbles.
"What?" you turn around to face his crimson cheeks. "I didn't hear you,"
"I said yes, it is," he coughs before pulling himself out the water and helping you.
"Thought I'd hate caves after being trapped in one for days... but I just can't seem to do that," you lay your hand against the damp stone.
"I'm sorry I couldn't find you sooner, dove,"
"Hush, Loki, it's not your fault," taking his hand softly, you smile. "It's your bitchy ex's fault,"
"You aren't wrong about that," he laughs before kissing your knuckles. "Now what was your plan?"
"Nothing really... I just enjoy your company," walking through the cave, he followed after you, walking calmly by your side. "I need to ask you something,"
"By all means, go ahead,"
"Uhm... I may have just been dreaming this... but did you ever tell me you loved me?"
Loki paled and shifted in his spot before laughing. "Pfft- What? No! What are you talking about? Must have been a dream!"
"Mhm..." you lean against a wall and kick a rock with a held back smile. "Then I guess the video Clint showed me was fake,"
"HE WHAT?!" Loki caught his tongue. "I mean... what? What video?"
"You're adorable," you slump down and pat the spot beside you.
"You're not... reacting how I thought you would," he awkwardly sits down.
"And how did you think I'd react?"
"A plethora of negative emotions," he blurts out, rubbing the back of his neck.
"How could I?" Twiddling your thumbs you lean your head on his shoulder. "I have to ask though... Why do you love me?"
"Are you serious?" he scoffs. "You don't know why I love you?"
"Do I look like I'm joking?? I'm really nothing special compared to the deities and super humans in the academy,"
Loki knitted his brows together. One deep breath in and out came the spill of words. "I'll try and make this sound less cliché but... I don't know where to start, you are the most beautiful, accepting, intelligent and hilarious person I have ever met," he takes your hand in his and holds it gently. "You are strong and passionate to do good and your outer beauty compliments your inner beauty... if someone can't love you then there must be something wrong with them-"
Loki freezes up as you kiss him softly. "Still cheesy," you mumble.
"I- I tried," he wheezes in a flustered state.
"Well, today is your lucky day because I can finally say this; I love you too," his head snapped to yours in shock. "What?"
"I'm dreaming right?"
"Shut up," you laugh as he pulled you into his arms and held you tight. "Affectionate trickster,"
"All affections will only ever be given to you, darling," kissing you sweetly, his hands trail over you cheek as you shifted to straddle him.
"Romantic," you kiss him again as he leaned forward, your hands tangling in his hair. Loki trailed his hands along your figure, feeling you shiver at his touch causing him to smirk. "Don't be smug,"
"Oh, but I love how you react," He slipped off the straps of your swimsuit.
"We are not having sex in a cave,"
"You expect me to wait?" his pout made you giggle.
"Yes, I do,"
"We could just use my magic to get back to my room?" you ponder the suggestion before shaking your head. "So what? I suffer?"
"Yes," it was your turn to smile smugly, standing up and diving into the water.
"Y/n!" He whines before jumping in the water after you.
"Calm down, sweetheart, you can wait two hours right?"
"TWO HOURS??" his voice echoed against the walls making you burst into laughter.
"Fine, we get back to the others and tell them I don't feel so good-" Loki held you close and teleported you to the others.
"Y/n doesn't feel well, we are heading back!" before the others could express relief at the sight of you or confusion at the sudden announcement, you were in Loki's room and thrown on to the bed. "Now..."
