When the headmaster touched one of the books behind him the bookcase disappeared from sight and opened up to a secret area in his office. There was a long, mysterious hallway in which Andrea couldn't see the end of it. The headmaster grabbed her arm and pulled her into the hallway. The mysterious area started to transport them magically through the hallway that the headmaster had opened up. Andrea did ask where they were going however didn't get a response. They were paintings of many kids all of different ages on the walls, with the words always remembered on many of the paintings.

She was nervous and wondering why all the paintings they were going by said, always remembered, however tried her best not to think too much of it. They stood there in silence while they slowly moved through the hallway. The hallway was dark and creepy, not knowing where the headmaster was taking her gave Andrea the chills. She was able to remain calm and continued to look around curiously at all the paintings. She even saw a painting that said Patricia Maka on it, yet it said something different.

It said completed, along with other paintings that said the exact same thing. She wasn't sure why these paintings were hanged on the wall and she wasn't sure if she wanted to know. The headmaster looked serious, as if he needed to tell Andrea something that she didn't know about. Now, all the paintings were filled with the word completed and the image of someone above. She guessed that the word completed on the paintings meant they were also defenders who completed their years of Black Academia.

Finally, they reached the end of the wrenched tunnel and the movement of the hallway stopped. "Here we are" the headmaster finally said, he took a key from his pocket and unlocked the door; many locks started unlocked until the door magically flew open. He let Andrea walk in first with headmaster Zyleftro following behind her. When Andrea walked in she saw Ms. JaJanston and Finch standing in the same room, along with many other students standing all around.

Many of the students in the room stared at Andrea with shock, to see such a young girl come through the doors, even some who were once talking with one another started to stare at Andrea. "Andrea, welcome to The Defenders" the headmaster said, patting Andrea on the back. The room was filled with loads of people who were all of them wearing their color-coded robes. Finch looked worried for Andrea, he knew what was going to happen to Andrea that night. Andrea looked at Finch to see his worried expression, she didn't know why she was here however Finch did. "What's going on, who are the defenders?" Andrea asked. Andrea didn't know who the defenders were, and knew for sure that something called the defenders weren't something when her parents came here. Some seemed curious for Andrea to be there while some looked confused on why she was there. They looked to see as if they knew something about Andrea that she didn't.

"The Defenders are people who protect the school with their life. So, whenever the school might be in trouble they are here to help. However they haven't had any missions lately. Usually you can only join when you are in 4th year. However, you're different" Ms. JaJanston said. Andrea looked confused, if they could only join in 4th year, why did they want her to join now? Why would the headmaster want her to join at such a young age? Yes, she heard Ms. JaJanston say she was different however how different could she be? Everyone in the defenders' were either 17 or older, however, how would they feel of a 13-year-old joining them all of a sudden. Was Andrea some type of special witch who was destined for this type of future? Some defenders were whispering with one another, probably talking about whether it was possible for Andrea to join them at such a young age. However Andrea didn't mind, she would feel the same way if she were one of them.

"You may do it now Lucas" the headmaster said to one of the boys. A boy who had brown messy hair and bright blue eyes started to walk towards Andrea with his wand within his grip. He was wearing a Bathen robe with his Bathen uniform underneath. He looked to be very somber and serious in his work as a defender. He grabbed Andrea's arm firmly, with his fingers digging into her arm. Andrea decided it was best not to fight whatever Lucas was doing because if she did try to fight it, he might hold tighter than what he already was. He stabbed his wand into her forearm where a tattoo started to form on Andrea's arm.
