VIII - i finally saw him

I went home after stargazing for a whole hour. When I opened the door I was pulled into a hug with Layla.

"y/n! Where have you been?"
"I was stargazing"
"Again?"
"Yes, again"
"It's like 1 in the morning"
"I don't give a shit"
"Dont be rude"
"For fucks sake, Layla"
"You're tired, go to bed"
"I was going to!"

I flopped onto my bed and fell asleep.

It was about 10 am when I needed to head to work, but I just couldn't, what if he did something to him, what if he's gone?

"y/n, you okay?"
"I'm fine"
"Hey, come here"

She hugged me.

"Everything's going to be okay"
"No it's not"
"Tell me about it, is your adhd acting up again? do we need to get some medicine?"
"No it's fine, it's that I think I traumatized my best friend"
"You didn't traumatize me"
"Not you"
"Then who?"
"Karl"
"What did you do?"
"I'm not going to tell you, I just want to know if he's safe or not"
"Well okay, ill go get your keys"
"I have them right here, dumbass"

I grabbed a cookie on my way out and got to my car.
I got to the studio and went to my office, I didn't see anyone on my way in, strange.

About an hour later is finally heard some talking outside my door, it was Jimmy and Karl.

I saw Karl laughing that made me smile, he was happy, he was safe, he didn't do anything to himself. Me and Karl made eye contact for a second. I closed my door and though how I can talk with him again, it was painful, for some reason. I finally got the courage and opened my door, he was gone, but I knew where he could be. I went into the camera room and he wasn't there, I was about to close the door when I heard a slight cry in the distance. I couldn't tell who it was, but I had a strong feeling it was Karl. I was looking for him through the maze of cameras and there he was, on the floor, curled up in a ball, looking at me with his eyes full of tears.
