Chapter 3 : Abominate
He watched her while she slept. She looked peaceful and content, unlike how she had looked earlier when she was awake. He only felt slightly guilty taking her away and forcing her to come with him. But she needed to realize that she belonged here, with him, always with him.
Logan sighed as he lightly placed a kiss on her forehead. He held her tighter to his body, loving the way it felt to have her body pressed against his. He wanted to mark her, claim her as his. Mate with her at this very moment and start their lives together.
But, he knew he had to take it slow with her. She hated him and everyone like him, that much he knew. She was also human and human relationships were not like the relationships mates had.
A low growl emanated out of his chest at the mere thought of her ever having a relationship with a human. With any man but him.
Tightening his arms around her, he nuzzled her hair, breathing in her scent.
He dreaded having to wait for her to accept him. He had already waited a week. Watching her interact with her family and friends. That dreaded boy Adam, always around her. Ian Glass and Drew Brown. All of them putting their hands on what was mine. They would have to go.
Logan breathed in deeply, keeping his anger in check. She would be confused at first, and wish to take it slow, and he would have no choice but to oblige. He wanted a happy mate who loved him, not one who resented him.
Once again, he nuzzled his face into her hair, as he closed his eyes, falling to sleep with his mate in his arms.
“You will be with me as soon as possible, mate. I'll never loose you.”
Where the heck am I? And whose arm is around my waist? Were Esmeralda’s first – hysterical - thoughts as she opened her eyes to reveal a strange room, and felt her back pressed against someone's chest. She raked her brain trying to remember the previous night.
Gasping, she cautiously tried to scoot out from under the arm she was currently under. Key word being tried. She didn't get very far before the arm tightened around her and pulled her back into the well defined chest. Her heart beat picked up as he started to speak. “Where do you think your going?”
“Home.” She said, though when it came out it sounded more like a question.
“I don't think so.”
“Let go of me.” She said through gritted teeth.
“No.”
“Please.”
He sighed and reluctantly let go of her. She scooted off the bed quickly turned to face Logan who was now standing on the other side of the bed, thankfully with clothes.
“What's your problem?”
She looked at him, like he had just grown an extra head. “What's my problem?! What's your problem?!”
“Well, let's see, shall we. Maybe it has something to do with my mate trying to leave me!”
“You kidnapped me!” She yelled, slowly making her way towards the door, planning her escape. Though there's no way she would out run a werewolf.
Mentally she sighed. I have to stop being so negative.
“You came willingly! Remember?” He said walking towards her.
“You would have kidnapped me if I didn't anyway!” She said hitting him in the chest.
“But I didn't kidnap you. See? I've done nothing wrong.”
