y/n pov: today was the day i have been working for, for the past 6 years. i was graduating college and ready to apply to the academy forreal, and not as an intern.

i woke up early and got out of bed, walking into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. i decided on something small because although i was more than excited for today, my nerves will still coming to play. i sat and reminisced on the past four months, and about the incredible opportunity i was able to experience with some of the coolest people i have ever met.

after i was done eating, i cleaned up after myself and made my way into the bathroom th take a shower and do my hair. after i had dried off my body and blow dried my hair, i decided on loose curls because emily in the past had mentioned how she thought "my hair that way made me look even prettier than i already am." after i applied the same light, day-to-day makeup that i always wore.

i made my way back into my bedroom to pick out an outfit. i settled on the single dress i owned, a white lacy one that had a low v-neck and scalloped edges, something that i wore on the rare occasion that black skinny jeans weren't fancy enough for. after i was dressed, i slipped on some nude heels and grabbed my graduation cap and gown before making my way to school to meet my best friend.

emily pov: a few weeks prior, garcia had figured out when y/n's graduation date was. she hadn't mentioned it to the team, but we all knew it was coming and despite her protest's of us "coming to her dumb ceremony when we could be saving lives," hotch had made arrangements for the team to have the day off of work.

the team all split up between 2 suv's and we made our way to where the graduation was being held. once we had parked and made our way inside, we took our seats near the front row, pulling a few strings with the school by flashing our badges.

before names were called, the dean of the school had spoke, and said that the top three of the class would be giving a short speech. to no one's surprise, y/n's name was called first. as she made her way up, i couldn't help but stare at her. she is so beautiful.

y/n pov: i hated that i had to sit on the stage because i was in the top of the class. i hated that the ceremony was so long and i was so nervous about my speech. i wasn't one for public speaking and i absolutely hated the idea of making an idiot of myself in front of such a big room full of people. i was called up to the podium and when i looked out onto the crowd, i immediately saw the bau team sitting in the second row.

i smiled to myself and took a deep breath before starting.

"well, the time has finally come. as i look back on the past years of my education and looking out into the sea of both familiar and unfamiliar faces of my graduating class, i can finally say that this shit is over." this earned a few laughs.

"all our hard work and dedication towards bettering ourselves, in more ways than one, has finally paid off. this last semester, i was lucky enough to internship with the fbi, alongside a dream team of people and i can confidently say that they are a big reason of who i am today. even in the short few months that i worked alongside some of the smartest and bravest people in the world, they all taught me valuable lessons. and i had many experiences that taught me a lot about myself as well. from having heart to hearts with someone who i thought never smiled, and yes aaron hotchner, i am talking about you" i said and looked at him in the eye, earning a smile from him.
