a/n: hii again hehe ok so, i think i have an idea as to what i wanna do w this book but i kinda wanna make it a filler chapter so i can get on with the plot lmao... so i wanna like start this chapter by saying that this is also gonna have reid's pov in it as well so im sorry if it gets a little confusing :/

y/n pov: it had been several days later and we had caught the unsub. he was an angry ex to the woman we ended up saving. it was a stressful 2 weeks, but a good type of stress. it was rewarding to bring back the latest victim safely and catch the man that was causing so much harm. over the course of the past 14 or so days, i got to know the other team members a lot more as well, even if i did feel like i was only scratching the surface. i definitely got closer with reid as well. he told me more about his mom and the situation that he was in with her. i also learned that jj was dating some detective guy that they met on case, rossi has three ex-wives (and that the team will never let him forget it), hotch has a wife and a son named jack, morgan may be the biggest flirt but he is also one of the most protective and caring, garcia is a ray of sunshine and one of the most genuine people i've ever met, and last but not least, emily prentiss. emily is one of the most down to earth people i have ever met. she is kind, strong, caring, and not to mention beautiful.

i was sitting at the back of the jet staring out the window when i felt someone sit across the small table from me. i looked over and it was spencer. i gave him a warm smile and said hi, turning back to the window. him and i had gotten along really well these past couple of weeks. we never ran out of things to talk about, even when we weren't talking about the case. he was sweet, and had a very pure soul despite all the bad he had experienced and seen. i was glad to have him as a friend, and it was nice that he was only a few years older than me. even though i loved everyone on the team, i felt like reid was just such an easy person to talk to, and that we were very similar in a lot of ways.

 he spoke up distracting me from my thoughts. "hey, what are you thinking about?" he asked. i couldn't tell him that i was thinking about emily, that would sound crazy. "oh not much, just lost in thought i guess." i replied back. he again asked, "was it the case? i know sometimes they can be a lot to process." i didn't want to say yes because it honestly wasn't that, but i didn't wanna say no either because if i did, i know he would press me until he figured it out. instead i half nodded and half shook my head and he laughed a bit in response. i smiled at him and he leaned back in his chair, looking out the window and i did the same.

spencer pov: i noticed y/n in the back of the plane by herself looking out the window. she had a slight frown across her face and her face was scrunched up a bit, like she was upset. i went over and sat across from her, saying hi in a slight whisper. she smiled and said hello back before looking out the window again. it kind of upset me that she didn't want to talk. her and i had many conversations over the past few weeks and i liked talking to her. she was comforting in her demeanor and it made it really hard for me to not, not like her. after a few days on the case, i think morgan took notice of the fact that i had a small crush on the new intern and he did not let me forget it. i mean how could i not like her. she was beautiful, kind, funny, and had a sarcastic attitude, knowing when exactly to let it show... not to mention she was SO smart; at one point i felt almost a little threatened that i wasn't the smartest in the room (even though i knew that would never be true).

 i tried to pull her out of her thoughts but she didn't seem too interested in a conversation, so instead i followed her actions, leaning back in my chair and looking out the window. every once in a while i would glance over at her and noticed that the slight frown never left her face.

y/n pov: when we got back to quantico, everyone returned to their respective desks to do some paperwork. i was given a desk of my own, although i was not given paperwork due to the fact that it was not something i had learned how to do just yet. instead, i pulled out some school work and started taking notes for one of my classes. a few hour passed and i noticed most of the team had gone home for the day. it was friday meaning we had the next few days off and i was more than excited about that. just emily, rossi, hotch and i were left in the office and i decided to make myself a cup of coffee. when i walked over to the nook with the coffee machine, rossi was there as well, fixing himself a cup. i greeted him with a hello and he gave he a me smile. as i was filling my mug, in a low voice he told me to go to his office saying he had a question for me. i turned my head to face him and he gave me a half smirk before walking away. for a second i thought i was in trouble but i followed his requests none the less and knocked softly at his door frame with my free hand, cup of coffee in the other. he asked me to shut the door and i did so, taking a seat on the sofa in his office. "you're not in trouble," he stated before continuing, "i've noticed and i have to ask... are you interested in emily?" 

as soon as the words came out his mouth i was instantly thrown off guard. i could feel heat rising to my cheeks and rossi was very obviously amused by this. i opened my mouth to speak but quickly closed it again, not knowing what to say. he spoke for me, replying to his previous question, "ah, i see." he thought in silence for a moment before speaking again, " reid is going to be upset.. but emily won't be." giving me a wink. i sat there a moment before gathering my thoughts still trying to process what he had just said. "what do you mean emily wont? and why would reid be upset if i liked prentiss?" i questioned. he started to speak again but i cut him off, "wait.. why do you think spencer likes me like that, and why do you think i like prentiss like that?" he laughed once again and just patted me on the shoulder. he gathered his things and put his coat on and before leaving the room, he stopped in the door frame, "think about it kiddo, i know you're smart." 

emily pov: after we returned to the office, i immediately started on paperwork, wanting to get home as soon as possible. everyone had gone to their desks to start on files so that they too could leave for the weekend. after filling out the last of my paperwork, i looked up and realized there were very few of us left in the building. hotch of course was in his office and rossi was in his as well. i looked around the bullpen and noticed the only other one here was y/n. when my eyes landed on her, the sight i was taking in was probably one of the purest i had seen in a while. she was slightly spinning in her desk chair, headphones in, which i assume were blasting music. she was copying notes from a textbook and slightly moving her head to whatever song was playing. i stared at her for a while and noticed some of the small mannerisms she would repeat; when she was really focused, she would slightly bite her bottom lip, when she was reading the textbook, she would subconsciously twist the rings on her finger, and when she was concentrating on writing something down, she would slightly tilt her head to the right.

i noticed she was getting up so i tried to make it look like i was busy with work. i glanced up to see her at the coffee machine and i saw rossi whisper something to her before heading back to his office. i thought to myself 'oh god i hope he didn't just watch me stare at y/n for the past 15 minutes.' my eyes followed y/n as she walked into rossi's office and close the door and suddenly i felt an anxious knot forming in my stomach. i didn't know why a girl i had met not even a month ago was able to have this much control over me, but i didn't know if i was necessarily that mad about it anymore. after about ten minutes the door opened, and i watched rossi leave his office. he caught me looking at his door before winking and giving me a smile.
