emily pov: when i got back to the local PD my eyes immediately found y/n. she was so perfect, i could sit there and stare at her all day and never get tired of looking at her. she knew i was staring at her but unlike the first day i met her, i wasn't trying to hide it any longer.

- time skip to back in quantico bc lazy asf and don't wanna write a whole case teehee -

once we were back, i made a point to quickly finish my paperwork. i made my way over to where y/n was sitting at her desk and once she felt my presence, she looked up and gave me a warm smile, "hi em," she said and i smiled back.

"ready to go on that date finally?" i asked her and she slightly raised her eyebrow, giving me a questioning look. i kept my eyes locked on hers until she finally broke the stare. y/n said nothing but proceeded to collect her belongings before walking out of the bullpen. i stood there for a brief second before looking over to the glass doors and see her standing, waiting for me to look before giving me a slight head tilt as to beckon me to her. i quickly caught on and grabbed my stuff off my desk and followed her out.

just as the elevator doors were closing, i slipped between the mental curtains and looked over at y/n. she said nothing, and kept her gaze focused ahead with a slight smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. once we were out in the parking lot, she walked with me to my car in silence and when i was by the drivers side door, she promptly pulled me into her, pressing a soft kiss on my lips, taking me by surprise.

"meet me at the restaurant address i text to you at eight, and don't be late." she said assertively and i smiled in response, "yes ma'am." she smiled at me before making her way over to her own car, before getting in and driving off.

y/n pov: when i arrived back at my place, i texted emily the address to a restaurant that she had mentioned briefly in the past, knowing she would be excited about my choice. i quickly set my stuff down and went into my bedroom to pick out an outfit. once i had pulled out what i wanted to wear, i went into the bathroom to take a quick shower. after i had finished washing my hair and body, i quickly dried myself off and pulled on a pair of shorts and a baggy t-shirt so i could get ready, not wanting to wear what i had in mind for the date until after i had done my hair and makeup.

as i let my hair air dry, i put on a light face of makeup. i dabbed a little bit of concealer under my eyes and on a few blemishes i had and slicked some mascara on my lashes. i finished off the look with a bit of highlight on my cheekbones, nose, brow bone, and inner corner. once i was done with my makeup, i finished drying my hair with the blow dryer and loosely curled it.

after i was done in the bathroom, i made my way back into my bedroom to put on my outfit, and the last finishing touches. i slipped on my dress and added a few pieces of gold jewelry before putting on some black strappy heels. i took one last look in the mirror before making my way to the restaurant to meet emily.

on the drive there, i listened to one of my favorite podcasts to distract my thoughts. once i had parked my car, i got a text from emily.

emily: i'm pulling in now, wait for me by the front door.
