After getting dressed from the ordeal from having to encounter my Nana's Handyman, Todd, I began making my way downstairs.

Not to mention the fact that her reaction to everything was surprising to me, seeing as to how she used to be so protective of me. Then again, never had a guy like me enough to have her make a remark like she just did.

Either way though, it's still embarrassing. Well, maybe not AS embarrassing as to when I saw him while in my bath robe. However, in all fairness, I had no clue as to who he was and for all I knew, he could have been there to hurt or and steal from my grandmother.

Sure he is a hot guy, but I know what they're like, they're all the same and I am trying to avoid that nightmare again.

I start to make way downstairs and expected to see him but he was gone-which good!

"Smells good grandma." I comment. "Can I help you with anything?" I offer.

"No thank you, sweetie pie. I've got this. Take a seat." She smiles and then finishes playing two plates before carrying them over and sitting down to eat with me.

Mmmm, biscuits and her thick creamy country sausage gravy from scratch.

"My favorite." I smiled real big as the scent alone brought back many memories when I was little and our time in the kitchen with her teaching me how to both bake and cook.

"I know." She replies.

During breakfast, we seemed to have caught up with one another and although I didn't tell her details or as to why exactly I had stopped contacting her for so long, I had told her a white lie because I was afraid to kill the moment.

She still had a look of curiosity on her face but thankfully didn't push for anything.

"Well, you know that you can stay here as long as you'd like." She reassures me.

"Thanks Nana. I appreciate it. But I'll figure out a plan soon enough." I tell her although my heart broke a little bit after telling her that.

I could tell by the look on her face she felt the same way. So I quickly tried to make her happy again.

"Don't worry, I plan to be here a long while." I reassure her with a smile.

She starts to smile bigger again and then stands up and leans over to kiss my forehead and hug me tightly while I hug her back.

After breakfast, I was grabbing my keys and purse to head to the store and do some grocery shopping, but I couldn't find my keys.

"Grandma, did you by any chance see my keys?" I ask her.

"Oh, I knew I forgot somethin'." She chuckles a bit. "I couldn't let my granddaughter be going around town in that piece of junk. However, since I also knew you wouldn't want to get rid of it neither, I figured I would get Joe, the mechanic in town to fix it up some, so it wouldn't be such an eye sore." She says.

"Wait, how did you get home?" I asked.

"Margaret in town brought me back." She winked.

"Well, thank you, you didn't have to do that. I appreciate it but...." I started until she stopped me.

"No buts. Now, what was you needin' to drive to anyways? I already went to the store." She asks me.

"I was going to head into town and pick up some things like toothpaste and everything." I replied.

"Oh, well, why don't you go and ask Todd to take you into town. It is quite a walk." She suggests.

"No, I can walk. I need the exercise anyways." I tell her.

There was no way I was going to ask Mr. Hot Stuff to take me to the store, especially after what happened-I still feel a little embarrassed in how I reacted.

"It's close to 90 degrees outside." She says with a hand on her hip.

"I'll be fine. Seriously." I chuckled nervously a bit.

She looks at me more with a raised eyebrow and I knew that she wouldn't let this go, so I said I would ask him.

"Alright. I'll go ask him." I tell her.

Little does she know that when I walk out the door, I will go in the direction of the barn but won't see him because I will hurry and head down a path I remember I used to go down, deep into the woods when I was little, to get away from everybody and everything.

That was at least the plan until I saw him standing outside the barn with his tight fitted t-shirt and jeans on as he washed down one of the horses with a hose.

I couldn't stop but stare at him and forget about what I was trying to do or where I was going. He was like one of those guys you see on the covers of a romance novel.

He was chiseled to perfection. His muscular stature was intimidating and yet addicting to where all you wanted to do was.....

My thoughts immediately get interrupted by my grandmother's voice.

"Hey Todd?!" She called out from the porch.

He looked back at us and I quickly turned to look away in hopes he didn't catch me looking as I knew I had to be blushing.

"Grandma, I said I'm fine to walk." I turn and look at her.

"And I said no." She tells me.

Before I had time to reply or make any comment, he was already a few steps behind me.

Oh my god, please don't be wet, please don't be wet, I repeated in my head because if he was wet, I would get real red from the blushing.
