The Betrayal

I slept for a few minutes to attempt to ease my troubled mind.

When I had woken up, there was a vicious storm.

The lightening flashed through the windows, giving light to most of the dark spots in the halls.

The thunder boomed and shook the floor, echoing in my home.

There was a heavy rainfall, a soothing environment.

My home was surrounded by trees, vast greenery.

I decided if anything were to happen to me, the woods would be my new home.

I look out a window from the third floor, watching cars pass by.

I then start to remember the one I used to call 'friend'.

Betrayal...that's all I've known...my parents...my one friend...why...

FLASHBACK

I was seven, before the asylum...a few months before then.

I sat alone, hugging my knees...in the darkest corner.

Why am I always alone?

"Um...hey! Why are you here alone? Don't you have a friend?"

Those were the first kind words I had ever received from someone.

I looked up and shook my head.

"Well...I can be your friend."

I examined her, she was...round almost. Brown hair, hazel eyes.

She extended her hand to me.

I took her hand, she helped me up.

Those were the months where I had a reason to smile.

I had a friend, a best friend.

After the incident with Hiro, and a few months in the asylum, she visited my room.

I was so happy and excited to see her.

"Sakura! You came! Its been so long!"

She looked sad, then looked at me with eyes that my parents had.

"Amaya...if you're gonna be in here, we can't be friends anymore...besides I have a new best friend now."

I couldn't swallow, I was choked by tears.

"S-Sakura...you to?"

She then walked away without a second glance, without a care.

I've...been betrayed by my best friend...why...WHY AM I HATED?!? WHY CAN'T SOMEONE JUST LOVE ME?!

I cried again, I felt even more alone.

On my day of my escape, after I killed my parents, I killed her.

I grabbed my knife, a long and pointy knife.

It was midnight, and I tracked her down.

She then woke up as if she felt someone was watching her...

It was me.

"W-who are you?"

"You betrayed me...new best friend huh?"

"Amaya?!? Did they let you out?"

"Why do you care?"

She curled up in a corner of her bed, she had seen my knife.

"How about I sing you a lullaby...so that you can go into a sleep forever...that'd be nice, right? RIGHT!?!"

"No...Amaya...no...PLEASE!"

I laughed and started walking to her and singing.

"...la la la..la la...la la la...la la..."

I had gotten close enough then whispered.

"...la..."

I slit her throat, stabbed her heart multiple times, and snapped her neck.

I enjoyed the sounds of her choking on her blood, her suffering.

FLASHBACK ENDS

She hurt me...I made her suffer, just as I did...for the time that I never can change...

I started painting with blood on the walls.

The thunder boomed and lightening clashed.

I walk around my home, I hadn't explored most of the rooms.

I pushed one of the doors open, and found pianos.

I went over to one, and pressed a key.

A mid-high tone was played.

I then pressed another, a very low tone was played.

I started pressing random keys at the same time, and music filled the room.

I played my life story on the piano, and started tearing up.

This...this is my friend...it knows me...it understands me...what this plays, brings me comfort...

Thunder boomed again and the rain poured harder.

I fell asleep to the pouring rain and the gentle melody I played...I found a new hobby, something else that expresses me.

Never before have I connected with something like this....I felt...acquainted.

Music...it expresses me like art...except with more beauty...at least music can't betray me, it won't be killed...it will forever remain with me.

Just then I heard the doors open and deep voices speaking...planning to destroy my home.

No...NO! This is my home...

My rush began again.

They will easily be taken care of...
