Chapter 8

Sungchan:

Before I went to sleep, I made sure to send a sweet message to Miyoung that she can wake up to. I'm sure that she's been having a hard time with school since she hasn't been sending me a text but I understand. To cheer her up, I wanted to send her a sweet message that will make her feel less stressed. However, I wasn't able to make a longer message because I was so tired. But I tried my best for her.

Sungchan:
Hey, Miyoung. How was your day yesterday? I've been worried about you since you haven't been updating me recently. But knowing you, you're probably doing fine. I hope you have the chance to take care of yourself. Go on a shopping spree, watch your favorite shows, spend time with your friends, eat your favorite foods, and most importantly, smile. I love seeing you smile, Miyoung. I love your smile. I love everything about you. There's never a day where you're not on my mind. I'm always going to be thinking of you. You don't leave my dreams either. You're in my head 24/7. I'm sorry I didn't respond later, I should've sent you at least one word. I'll try to text you again later. Make sure you tell me about your day later. I hope you wake up in a good mood. See you <3

I immediately went to my phone and saw that she didn't text me back. Maybe she hasn't seen it yet? I mean it's 5am and she doesn't wake up until about 6am for school so I'm going to check my phone again later when she's probably already awake. I just carried on with my morning routine. After I finished brushing my teeth, washing my face, and fixing my hair and all of that, I got changed. For my birthday, Miyoung sent me a purple hoodie that was a size bigger than me but she said it'll look cute. I haven't worn it yet since it still had her perfume all over it but now that her scent is gone, I'm just gonna wear it now. I wore a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt to wear underneath the hoodie. I grabbed everything I needed, put on my shoes, and left the dorm. Haechan was already in the van, listening to music and sleeping. I sat next to him and his music was so loud. I was scared that it would damage his ears so I took his phone and lowered the volume.

Miyoung loves this song.. It's in the playlist that she made for me. I remember the exact day that Miyoung made me the playlist and the words that she told me. It was the most memorable moment of our time together after high school ended.

July 12

"Sungchan." Miyoung calls me. We were in Miyoung's apartment to celebrate her finally moving in. Mingyeom helped us earlier, but he had to leave immediately because of his busy schedule. He was going to debut in a couple of days and the last thing he wants is a scandal before debuting. We were on her bed, cuddling, and she was showing me her music on her phone.

"Yeah?" I respond, wrapping my arm tighter around her. I didn't want this moment to end, I just wanted to hold my girlfriend forever.

"I made you a playlist." She giggles, looking up at me and showing me her playlist. Oh my god, I could just fall into her eyes. She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. I wanted to stay in this moment forever, just being with Miyoung, cuddling and staring into her eyes. She gave me her phone and I scrolled through the playlist.

"Do you like it?" She asked and I nodded. I haven't heard some of these songs and it's no surprise that they're all girl group songs.

"Which one reminds you the most about me?" I ask and she plays "Rebirth".

"The lyrics remind me of you. And I love this song and I love...." Miyoung looks up at me before saying the last part of her sentence. I already knew what she was going to say, but she just blushed. I smiled and kissed her lips softly.

"You love..?" I tease and she playfully hits me.

"I think I kinda... you know... love... um... Red Velvet of course!" Miyoung smiles, releasing herself from my arms and throwing a pillow at me.

I put Haechan's phone back on his lap and I plugged headphones into my ears. I checked my phone again to see if Miyoung texted me but she didn't but it doesn't matter cause it's 5am and she's still not awake. I just shrugged it off and closed my eyes, waiting for our managers and the rest of the members to come in the car. Yangyang came in next and sat next to me, greeting me first.

"Have you talked to your girl?" He asks and I nod.

"She has school today but I'm sure she'll talk to me later." I respond.

"Oh? Haechan told me that she told him she has a school holiday." Yangyang says. Haechan told him that? Why did she tell Haechan instead of me? I had so many questions but I didn't know how to ask.

"Is that so? Ah... maybe she got tired last night and forgot to tell me." I laugh nervously. Yangyang nods.

"Yeah. Don't worry about her too much. I don't want you to lose focus today." Yangyang says and I just smile and look down at my phone. I hear Haechan's phone buzz and Haechan lazily tells me to check who it is.

Miyoung:
I'm free tonight.

Haechan asked me who it was and I told him it was someone I don't know. I didn't want to say that it was Miyoung out loud because Yangyang and the rest of the guys would hear and I didn't want them to get suspicious — just as suspicious as I am. What does this text even mean? Did Haechan ask her if she can hang out with him? Why would she agree to this? And why isn't she texting me when she's awake and texting Haechan? Is there something happening between the two of them? No.. there's no way that could happen. As much as I love Haechan as my own brother, why is he going after my girlfriend? I doubt there's anything going on between them. Besides, Miyoung probably won't even like him. He doesn't know her like I do. I don't think she trusts him yet either. While we were driving to the music broadcast, I came up with a good plan. I'm gonna follow Haechan when he meets up with Miyoung tonight.
