Chapter 19

Miyoung:

It was 7am and I finally recovered from the flu, meaning I was able to go to school again. It was Saturday so I don't have school until Monday, but I went to the campus to turn in all of my work that I did a couple of days ago. Yeonhee and Soona were going to visit me later so I had a lot of time to kill. I got ready for the day and grabbed my paperwork and went to my car to drive to campus. When I got there, I went to all of my classrooms and greeted my teachers, who greeted me back of course. I handed all of them my paperwork and they all responded with a "thank you" and "see you on Monday". I forced a smile out of myself and said goodbye to all of them, immediately leaving the campus so that I can get back home.

Mingyeom:
Miyoung, can I come over for a little?

Miyoung:
Sure but you have to leave by 3pm since Yeonhee and Soona are coming over again

Mingyeom:
Are you home now?

Miyoung:
I'll be there in five minutes, are you already there?

Mingyeom:
.... Yes

Miyoung:
Okay I'll come quickly

When I got to my apartment, I saw Mingyeom sitting near my door, playing a game on his phone. I laughed and patted his head, lending him a hand to help him up. He had flowers and a bag full of snacks next to him. We went into my apartment and we ate the food that Mingyeom brought yesterday and what we were supposed to eat before my friends made dinner for us. It was silence the whole time and I was getting suspicious because we usually always have a conversation when we're eating. I didn't let it get to me though because maybe he's tired. He told me that he got home late because he was meeting with a friend so I can see why he's so exhausted today. We finished eating and doing the dishes and now we were sitting on my couch, watching his reality show and eating the snacks that he brought.

"Miyoung... I need to tell you something." Mingyeom turns off the TV and turns to me. I nod at him, telling him to go ahead and say it.

"I talked to Sungchan and he told me his side of the breakup. He told me everything about how Haechan was taking you on secret dates and how you two were always together, more than you and Sungchan. I was furious so I asked Haechan to meet me at a park so that we can talk it out. The whole time though, he was lying and saying that he didn't do anything wrong, even when I knew everything. He was acting dumb and I couldn't handle it anymore so I punched him. I know violence isn't the answer... but I lost my temper since he couldn't admit what he did. I threatened him to never talk to you again so hopefully he listens. I'm sorry... for being violent. I know you don't like when I get into fights but I couldn't help it." Mingyeom explained and I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Did Mingyeom really hit Haechan? What's going to happen if someone finds out? Mingyeom's career will be over...

"Mingyeom, why did you do that? You couldn't just talk it out?" I ask and Mingyeom sighs.

"I tried, but he couldn't admit that he was wrong. If he just admitted that he's in love with you and that he wanted to tear you and Sungchan apart then I wouldn't have hit him." Mingyeom says and I widen my eyes. I was right? Haechan actually fell in love with me?

"And he deleted Sungchan's number from your phone and changed your contact on his phone to another number. He wanted to separate you two so bad because he liked you so much. I wanted to hear him say that himself but he was being difficult. I couldn't help it, I'm sorry." Mingyeom says and I shake my head, pulling him into a hug.

"Don't be sorry, I know that you get frustrated easily and you can't control your temper. I'm not mad at you and I'm not disappointed either. I know you were trying to protect me and I'm very grateful for that. Just don't be too rude to Haechan because he's still your senior and you're a rookie, okay?" I calm him down and he nods, I pat his back and smile, pulling away from the hug.

"I don't know what he's going to do next, but you should talk to him one last time and set boundaries between you two. If you want, I can come with you just in case he tries to touch you or prevent you from leaving." Mingyeom says and I shake my head.

"There's no need for that. He won't do something like that. Though he did go over the line and took me away from Sungchan, he most likely won't hold me back and prevent me from leaving. Don't worry, okay?" I reassure him and he nods.

"Miyoung, I don't know if you know this but Sungchan loves you. He's crazy over you. He has it bad for you. He's totally obsessed with you. Every time we talked, it was mostly about you. It wasn't just our normal idol and guy stuff, he would always talk about how much you mean to him. I honestly think that you would give you everything that you wanted if you asked him to. Like I said, he's crazy over you." Mingyeom starts and I just sit still, taking in what he said. If he's crazy over me, why did he break up with me?

Cause it was my fault...

"And he doesn't love you just because of your looks. Whenever we talk, it's always something new about you. There's days where he's talking about your voice and how sweet it is and how he wants to listen to it forever. He talks about your jokes and repeats them over and over again and still laughs at them even if you said them a long time ago. He talks about your height and how cute he thinks you are because of how short you are compared to him. He talks about your smile, the way you make him feel, your scent, your warmth, your eyes, he talks about it all. He could probably write a whole essay on everything he loves about you. He even showed me pictures of you two together, holding each other, and being in love. Miyoung, when I saw those pictures, you looked like you were at your happiest. You two were always so happy with each other and you broke up because of a misunderstanding." Mingyeom continues and I sigh.

"Miyoung, Sungchan loves you." Mingyeom says and I shake my head.

"I can't believe that until he says it himself." I say.
