(daniel's pov)

seeing summer this weak broke my hard. i really got the best of covid. i just cant taste anything which sure that sucks o wanna be able to take my watermelon as i eat it but summer..

she looks frail since she won't eat, her headaches keep her up at night making me nervous. she barely wants to move all she does is sit in bed in pain she hasn't even had the willpower to shower every day. it sounds disgusting but with the pain she's in i don't blame her.

i walked into our room to see her gripping her head in pain. i walked over and sat next to her "love i have an Advil for you" i said quietly and she sat up slowly grabbing the phill and putting it in her mouth before taking the water and drinking it.

"thank you" she mumbled laying back down. i didn't know what to do she looked lifeless. "hey why don't i set up a nice warm bath for you" i cooed trying to make her a little happy

she thought about it before lightly smiling and nodding her head. i missed that smile so much. she looked so pale and her mix matched eyes so dull. the icy blue one so dark and her green one so dark as well.

i kissed her forehead and started up the bath. i put bubbles and i put her laptop on a chair in fort of the tub so she had something to watch as she relaxed i laid out candles so that the lights could stay off

i ran back in to see summer sleeping peacefully. i walked over and tapped her.

she didn't move

"summer" i said slightly shaking her but she still didn't move

"summer! SUMMER" i was now yelling and shaking her but she wasn't responding

i ran to my phone and called 911

she's dying.

i sat in the room with her as she sat on a ventilator. this is something we both didn't want. i say their staring at her limp body. the doctor came back in and started unhooking machines.

"sir the machines aren't helping she need nutrients and so do you. both of you for some reason don't have enough fluids or nutrients in your system you both are going to be sent home with multiple iv bags. since we can't keep you hear we're going to teach you how to change it. unfortunately for summer here she's not gonna wake up for maybe even a day or two. she is really at a low health point. but keeping her on the vent won't make her better it's actually making her worse so until she's been through a few of these bags she's not waking up" he said picking up the bag

i stayed mute. what the fuck are these doctors doing sending us home. i was so lost as to how they were just gonna send us home. he showed me how the iv bags worked and explained that every day a nurse would come and check out iv's then remove them. this was not gonna be fun

i walked into the bathroom and drained the two day old water. i cleaned up everything and walked out dragging my iv pol behind me. i walked into our bedroom to see summer still asleep. it made me nervous but honestly she needed the rest since her headaches wouldn't allow it.

i ordered some groceries and decided to get up and try to be well productive. i grabbed my iv pol lowering it so i could move my arm up and down more. i got up and walked over to the door to see bags of groceries.

i was unloading then when i heard a cough come out of our room. i shot up and bolted to notice she was still sleeping. this is the seventh time this has happened......yes i'm counting.

i walked back annoyed and continued to u load all the gatorade's into the fridge. ever since me and sums ended up in quarantine we've been saying how we need a gatorade fridge and we almost bought one

the memory of her form a week ago happy and still full of joy made me smile as i u loaded the last of the stuff and shut the fridge.

summer is the light in my life and right now my life is pretty dull. her skin is starting i pink up again making her look less pale. she also seems as if she's regaining her energy from this hibernation which was a good thing

i just missed her laugh so much.

she hates her laugh but i live for it.  it's so cute i hope out kid has our laugh.

"daniel?" took me out of my thoughts. i looked up confused "sums" i said "dani come here i wanna cuddle" i heard from down the all. i ran with my pole and saw a happy summer sitting up smiling

i ran over and hugged her causing her to laugh "what's wrong silly see i'm fine" she said i pulled away confused "babe what's the last thing you remember?" i said sitting down next to her.

"oh you and i were watching the bachelor and then i fell asleep... why?" she said confidently

"babe that was 5 days ago...we ended up in the hospital and you've been sleeping for almost two days.... but your good now" i said smiling not trying to scare her. she looked at me in shock. "no way-"

"hey hey look i'm your better now right" i said cutting her off as she nodded.
