Thane's POV

I stayed in my room the rest of the night. I slep amazing when I fell asleep. I had very pleasant dreams that had McKenzie in them. I was woken up earlier than usual. I took a shower and then my servant guy helped me dress. I dress more nice than usual because I wanted to make a good impression.

All my family and I were supposed to walk in together to breakfast, and my mom already told all is kids she would kill us if we were late. Traditionally I would formally meet the girls one by one before we got to eat, but my father changed it so I could actually talk to the girls.

I hear my parents announced. Then each of my siblings. Then mine. We each entered at our names, and the 35 selected girls stood and cutsied. They kept standing till I sat being I was the last one to enter the room.

I looked around the room to see everyone beaming, talking, and eating. I slowly look bites of my food looking at each girl.

My eyes first found McKenzie. She was wear a beautiful darker blue dress. It stood out against a sea of light pastel dresses. Slowly I noticed other like Blaire, Coirtney, and Emily. Coirtney and Emily both looked very similar with their long blond pretty hair. Blaire looked very petite and beautiful.

" Thane look at that girl in the blue dress. She is so pretty." My little sister Amberly said.

"Want to know a secret?" I said leaning over to wisper in her ear. I felt my father elbow me in the side. I sat up straight and turned towards him. "Yes father."

"Trust your gut. You may ask any of the ladies to leave whenever, but don't make hasty decisions." He said. I thanked him and turned back to Amberly. I was about to speak with her when my father announced that I was going to start taking girls individually to meet. Leaning down to my little sister's ear I whispered, "I already met her." I continued on to escort my first lady to the couch.

"Hello Quinn." I said to start off our meeting. I was hoping for a good impression by already knowing her name.

"Prince Thane." She replied in a near perfect curtsy. We talked about her job as a model, but she was very modest. I grabbed a few more girls, but only a couple stood out. After I meet with a girl, she would go up to her room to get ready for whatever Sylvia had planned for them. I saved the best for last, so I would have a lot of time to talk to McKenzie.

"McKenzie my dear, what a pleasure to meet you." I said kissing her hand.

"Prince Thane." She said roughly curtsying. She looked magnificent.

"Please sit. This time we meet in the palace. Not sneaking around outside." She blushed a deep red at what I had said.

"Ahh so that was you. I just assumed that some kitchen boy had lied to me because a prince would have scolded me. "

" You my might as well tell me a bit more about yourself besides the fact that you like to climb from windows."

"Well you already know that I like books, writing, and I want to play an instrument. What else is there to know?"

"Do you have an siblings?"

"Yes, one older brother. His name is McKale. He is super protective of me. I really miss him." She said with a few tears slipping down her face. I started to panick. I patted her shoulder lightly. "Thanks for trying to comfort me." She said with a laugh.

"Sorry. What is you favorite book?" I asked next.

" It's a classic. Twilight by Stephanie Meyers. Have you read it?" She asked me. I haven't, but she didn't need to know that.

"Yeah. It's a great.... story."  I said. Why couldn't I just sound as confident as my father.

"You're lying Thane. I-i- mean, So glad you liked the story Prince Thane."

" It's okay McKenzie. Relax. As long as you don't call me Thane in front of the other girls I don't care. I don't care if you do call me Thane in front of them, but they might get the wrong idea and then they will start calling me that. We can't have that now. Yeah I know I lied. Please tell me about the story." I said.

" Thank you Thane." She said hesitantly. " The story is a love story between a regular girl names Bella and a mysterious 100 year old vampire named Edward. They fall in love, and despite all their struggles they end up together in the end. It is an amazing love story."  I laughed a small chukle. Not very man could make me laugh. Some of the guards looked anxious. I have probably been with McKenzie two times longer than any of the other girls.

"Sounds amazing. I will read it. I have a few questions left before you have to leave. Have you written anything yet, and What instrument do you want to play?" I really wanted to know these things before she left. I could see my mother walking towards me.

" Yes and flute." She said standing up. She curtsied to my momter and then to me. "Goodbye Thane." She said, silently asking with her eyes if she could call me that. I gave her small nod, and she stood up leaving.

"You love her don't you." My mother stated. I nodded my head.

"I do. She is so nice and amazing." I said.

"She is on a first name bases with you."

"We might have had a slightly similar meeting to you and dad." I said sheepishly. She just laughted and shook her head.

"Come on. We can't be in here or we will give Sylvia a heart attack. That is if she hasn't already had one."
