"Braim..."

"Braim!"

Elliere jerked in his seat, not having noticed he'd slumped over. He had went to the bar, ordered a drink and a burger, had taken two bites of the burger, but was merely sitting there otherwise as he stared off into space, possibly falling asleep in the process. Drew, the usual bartender, was in front of him with a frown on his face as he studied him.

"What's wrong with you, Elliere? I've never see you so beat down before," Drew muttered as he pulled Elliere's barely eaten food and now warm drink away. He wouldn't be eating or drinking it anyways.

Elliere merely grunted and scowled at the human bartender. He was so oblivious to how hard his life could be. He could be Elliere, a freak Lupus, a Lone Wolf who lost everything he ever had and was now an outcast to everyone except another...sort of freak Lupus, though Rori was still not as freak-like as himself and nor was she having to deal with a human she marked drunkenly. Thoughts of Mercy made his expression sour further causing Drew to merely shrug and walk away while he was left to be frustrated at the way he was still waiting for her to relent to the bond which would slowly ensnare her to him anyway.

She's tougher than I imagined...

He snorted at his own thought. Of course the mate he would choose would be tougher than the last he had. Elliere pushed his way out of The Wolf's Den after he'd thrown money on the bar counter. He lit up a smoke immediately once outside and gazed upon the night sky -- the moon crescent in shape.

His mind turned over again as he remembered recalling Rori, the other Lupus like him...sort of. While Rori was a novelty due to the Jaecars fúcking meddling, she was also more wolfish still than he. She was smaller, didn't stand on her back legs to walk, merely to see things from a higher view like a grizzly bear. Her body was human like, but bunched enough so she ran four leggedly. Her coat was longer than the average Lupus, but not like his and her paws had remained the same, though a tad bit bigger. Silver didn't bother her the way it did him, however the moon did strengthen her like Elliere. However, she wasn't strange enough to be an outcast, not that her mate had allowed her to be anyways, but it still burned Elliere up a bit. He wished normal Lupus would still accept him like his friend did.

A breeze slammed into him as he reminisced. It had been awhile since he'd seen her, he mused, taking in a lungful of toxic smoke. The last time he had seen her was when they took down Claire.

**

It was clear out. The sky light in color though what they were about to do was far from things considered light.

Elliere and the pack around him was buzzing, hardly thinking of the weather. They were thinking of the task they had set out to do. To rid themselves of Claire, the Jaecars, the evil within the area.

Elliere and Rori's pack reached the area, slaughtering Jaecars as they entered the parking lot. They slipped in the door and from there everything was a mess of blood, bones and organs. He wasn't thinking, merely driven by the instinct to maim and kill.

Until...

They reached Claire's office. Suddenly everything was a complete disaster. She wasn't there!

The pack and Elliere himself rushed from the compound littered with bloody, dead bodies.

She had gone to the pack house, where the pups and the Elders were...

And as they stumbled upon the remaining Jaecars, tearing them to shreds, a horrifying scene awaited.

Claire had killed the Elders and beaten the pups black, blue and bloody. Rori was enraged after her shock wore off. She snapped and everyone was back to tearing the Jaecars that were with Claire apart.

Her gurgled screams as Rori ripped into her throat, the vicious snarls from the Lupus, from Elliere, the bítch's evil blood...

He would remember it all with slight grief for Rori, but ultimately, he would remember it with a victorious smile.
