After Elliere had seen Mercy that night, he didn't go to The Wolf's Den once again that week. He was in a stupor over the woman, he couldn't believe she had such an affect on him. At first, he had blamed it on the booze and guilt, but as the week passed, the feeling never went away and now he was entirely worried. He decided maybe he was just restless, it had been awhile since he'd let his Lupus side out and normally he'd wait a bit longer due to precautions since he wasn't normal in the Lupus community either, but he hoped that letting his wild side out would dim the feeling.
With a sigh, Elliere donned sweats and a hoodie. Both were black since he didn't exactly want to be seen or stopped. He just wanted to go for a quick run and then come home and sleep peacefully, without that feeling nagging him. With a scratch of his black facial hair, he exited his apartment building.
The brisk night wind slapped into his face and he inhaled deeply, the wild side of him coming to life slowly as he picked out scents in the wind. Dirt, trees, the crisp smell of grass, the sweaty smell of humans, the musky smells of cats and dogs that lingered on the streets, everything could be detected with his nose and it awakened the Lupus side of him.
His body hummed with the need to be released of it's human form and his heart rate thrummed loudly in his ears as a sweat broke out. He eased himself into a jog, knowing now that he was willing to transform that his body wouldn't hold back for long. Luckily for Elliere he lived close by to a forest, it was simply down the block and bam! tree cover. Good thing too because he felt his bones begin to ache in that familiar way all Lupus do. It signaled his bones would begin their painful shifting to form his.. well, his sort of wolf frame.
Elliere winced as his mind took him in the wrong direction yet again... he was not and never would be a normal Lupus again. He was mutated, a literal freak of science and he would never be welcome in a pack, let alone want to be. Noneless, he did wish other Lone Wolves or pack members would respect his difference, but instead because he was different and came off as such, they automatically hated him... except for one. Two Lupus who belonged to a pack did not, probably because one suffered from something similar to him and the other was her mate.
He smiled at the thought, but the smile was soon erased off his face as his arm snapped painfully. He let out a deep cry as he'd been caught off guard and immediately regretted it as his cry echoed around him. He knew everyone was asleep, but it didn't mean they wouldn't wake up and hear him. With a deep breath, he relaxed into the shift. He took the pain, enjoyed it as his bones snapped and reveled in the feeling of his beastial side coming out to play. It made him feel complete, whole, even if he wasn't quite the same anymore.
With a final pop and crack, he was an entirely different being. He stood like a man, but he looked no longer like one. Instead of skin, he wore fur, long fur. His face was no longer flat, but elongated into a wolfish muzzle and his spine had lengthened, stretching to form a large, fluffy tail. Instead of human hands, he had paw ones....with opposable thumbs. Elliere was not fully a Lupus wolf nor was he a man. He might as well have been called a wolf man now and it irritated him, broke him apart...but being in this form, he didn't have anything to worry over, only feel alive. He was lucky he was even alive after what the Jaecars did to him.. he was lucky he could even become a beast still and for that he was still grateful.
With a deep inhale of the forest around him, he allowed himself to ease into the wolf more. Soon he wasn't worried about human things, but he did have...a need. It was a need he could've sworn he felt in his human body, but it was so...strong. So intense that he wasn't sure anymore that he had felt it.
In his wolfish form, Elliere moved, unable to ignore the need pulsing through him. He seemed to be following instincts and could not shove them aside. His body felt like it was moving without his consent and the more he struggled, the faster he went. He was urgent, so very urgent to find what it was that made him this way.
He wound deeper into the forest, loving the smells and sounds of it. It was beautiful and in his Lupus form, it was so much more, he was at a loss for words as to how to describe it. The sky was lovely and the moon, though not full, gave him a strengthening feeling.
Elliere was thoroughly enjoying his run, despite the fact he was traveling where his instincts guided him. He was loving the wind and primal feeling of being alive when suddenly he stopped, his eyes zeroing in on a cabin that was secluded from the city. He lifted his muzzle, inhaling and nearly buckled at the smell. It was intoxicating and he felt he'd smelled it somewhere before, during some drunken night. He slipped forward, careful not to reveal himself, but getting close enough to peek in an open window. The window showed a clear view of a bedroom and then a very nude woman. Yes, woman. She was beautiful, he thought, though he could only see her smooth back and shapely áss with her long hair trailing to the middle of her back. That hair. It too seemed familiar, like he had just seen it.
As she turned towards the window, fully exposing herself and causing Elliere to harden, even in his Lupus state, he let out a huff of surprise. No wonder she was familiar!
It was Mercy Rains and suddenly the feelings he'd been shoving away came back ten fold and he had to fight his animal side to walk away. It was clear now that she was someone he had unconsciously chosen, someone that deep down he wanted because Mercy made him feel things he hadn't felt in years.
For the first time in decades, Elliere Braim felt he just might want to have Mercy and he wanted her for...possibly ever.
