Seoul, South Korea"Hello?"
"Rose?" I say hesitantly. "It's me. I'm calling from Seokjin's—"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH—"
I jerk the phone away from my ear and cut my best friend off from her screaming. Seokjin's hand reaches out for my shoulder, bracing me from toppling off his desk chair in shock.
"You okay?" he asks softly. I simply nod.
"YO, ARE YOU DEAD?" Ara screeches into the phone. Rose is still screaming in the background.
"No, I'm not dead, I'm calling you." I stop myself when Ara joins Rose in the hysteria. I roll my eyes and glare at Seokjin when he starts snorting with laughter.
"ARE YOU AT THEIR HOUSE RIGHT NOW?" Rose screams excitedly.
"Yes, I am—"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"You guys! I actually have to talk to you!"
"DUDE, KIM SEOKJIN'S NUMBER IS IN MY CALL LIST."
"I'm gonna hang up."
"Okay! Okay, we'll be serious now!" Ara promises. I suppose she's taken the phone away from Rose because the screaming is suddenly much more tolerable.
"Look, I'm just calling to tell you guys I'm alright, okay?" I tell her. "I can't come back to the hotel right now, so somebody's gonna come by and pick up my stuff from our room. Please pack everything in my suitcase and—"
"Hey, you're still wearing my sweater, aren't you." Ara says bluntly.
I blink. "Yeah?"
"Could you send it back with whoever—"
"Ara Lee! What, do you expect me to sit in this house shirtless?" I hiss into the phone. "I'll give it back to you when we get home!"
"Hey, she's wearing my pants, too!" Rose chimes, suddenly coherent enough to join Ara in the Cinderella's-step sister-type fight over my clothes.
"God, whatever. Anyway, please just pack my stuff up for me. Don't forget my phone charger and toothbrush!"
"Do you have any gossip for us?" Rose pipes with a giggle. "Learn anything new backstage?"
"Nothing I'm telling you with this man sitting next to me on his bed," I mumble, peeking over at said man. He just looks at me with a small smile and wide eyes. Very cute.
"HI JINNNNNNN!" the two of them shout. Seokjin appears to be caught off guard by their greeting, but he leans over still and says an enthusiastic reply, one my friends scream after. Again...
"Tell him I wish we could've met him, but you two had to go and break the internet, so..." Ara snickers on the other line and I just sigh.
"I'll let you guys know what's going on as soon as I figure out myself, okay?" I say, ignoring her teasing. "Please just pack my stuff. I don't know how long I'll be here and it'll be nice to have everything. Don't forget my clear bag and the fan. Okay, byeeeee!"
"Ophelia, wait—!"
I hang up before they can tease or scream anymore. I sigh and rub my forehead and I hand Seokjin his phone back.
"Are they always like that?" he asks. I sigh again.
"Unfortunately yet. Not always to that extent, though."
