(Your Music teacher claps as you and your classmates finish practicing..)

Mr.Blue: Great job guys! You all Impressed me, Ryan your violin is gorgeous.

Ryan: Thank you sir.

Mr.Blue: Okay so, I'll see you tomorrow. take care..

(You and your classmates head towards the exit but before you can leave..)

Jay?

Jay: Yes sir?

Mr.Blue: I heard you playing the wrong notes.

Jay: I am so sorry about that, I-

Mr.Blue: It's okay, I don't need excuses.. I'm not angry, I just need you to do better.. will you?

Jay: Yes sir.

Mr.Blue: great then.. goodbye.

(You quickly leave..

Later you enter the cafeteria with Sara)

Sara: Man I'm hungry..

Jay: I'm not, I ate too much in the morning.

Sara: Well duh, your mom's food is.. Just, Perfecto. (She mimics an Italian accent)

(As you two pass a conversation goes into your ear..)

Audrey: That fight was nasty..

Ellie: Right? I would have cried so hard.

(Confused you head towards them, Sara follows you)

Jay: What are you two talking about? What fight?

Ellie: Oh you didn't hear?

Audrey: Well the robber guy wanted to join the football team next year, so he was talking with the coach.. but they were saying mean things to him.

Ellie: Then it turned into a fight, Bradley punched him so he tackled him but the coach took Bradley's side.

Sara: That sucks.

Ellie: Then the robber guy kinda just ran away somewhere, looking very sad.

Jay: He has a name ya'know?

Audrey: I hate the coach, he is a jerk.

Hanna: Girls are you done eating? We need to practice..

Audrey & Ellie: Yeah, Coming! Bye guys.

(They leave..)

Sara: I wanna punch the coach.

Jay: Not Bradley?

Sara: No comments.

Jay: You eat I'll be back.

Sara: Where are you going? You don't want to eat?

Jay: As I said I'm not hungry..

(While leaving you spot the emo kids seating on a table nearby..)

Umm Hi, I'm Jay.. does anyone of you know where Niall is?

Felix: Uh I'm Felix, and no.. we haven't talked in a while.. he avoids us.

Jay: He avoids you guys?

(They nod..)

Felix: But.. he used to spend a lot of time at the old hang out place. The building behind school.

Jay: You mean the old library?

Felix: That was a library?!

Jay: Uh anyways.. thank you.

(You head towards the old library..)

(You slowly open the squeaky door..)

Jay: Anyone here..? (You step in and and close door)

Hello..? Aahh! (You scream as a rat runs in front of you..)

Oh God that's just a rat.

Voice: BOO!

Jay: AAAH! (Niall laughs from the lofted space above)

Niall: Don't tell me you're afraid of a rat kiddo.

Jay: Mullen! Lord you scared me.

Niall: Come up.

(You carefully climb the stairs and see him sitting in the balcony with a blanket beneath him.)

(You sit beside him but far..)

Jay: This balcony won't fall right?

Niall: This side is not so rotten yet.. unlike the other side.. anyways were you looking for me?

Jay: Yeah.. I heard what happened and I wanted to check up on how you're doing.

Niall: Wow that's pretty rare nowadays nobody checks up on me..

(You try to change the topic)

Jay: So this blanket.. Do you come here often?

Niall: Yeah, this is my secret hideout in the school.

Jay: Well it's not so secret anymore.

Niall: Felix told you didn't he?

Jay: Yes he did, don't be mad at him. Also your secret is safe with me.

Niall: I'm not, also you don't seem like the type to spill secrets.

Jay: So… why do you come here?

Niall: I don't know actually.. this seems very detached from the school.. no one comes here.. it feels like a safe space.. where no one can reach me and no one can hurt me..

Jay: Do you want to talk about what happened?

Niall: What good would it do?

Jay: Man, I feel bad for knowing your secret place.. wish I could tell you mine but, I don't have any.

Niall: This could be yours.

Jay: Huh?

Niall: We could share a secret. You could come here anytime you want, it's not like I live here.

Jay: Wait really?

Niall: Yeah.

Jay: Wow.. Should I say thanks?

Niall: Thanks? No. But you owe me one now.

Jay: Okay.. (your phone dings)

I should go.. and you should too.

Niall: I'll stay here for a few more minutes..

You should go.

Jay: Umm okay.. (You get up..)

Niall: See ya later kiddo.

Jay: Bye..

(You leave.. with a weird feeling but you brush it off..)
