Chapter 4

Peeking around the tree I saw two familiar faces, the friendly blonde boy and that turquoise eyed bastard.

"Why are they here?"

I tried my hardest to not make a sound but as a result, I ended up overhearing their conversation.

"Ugh! Why do I have to go search for her?! It's not my fault she got so damn pissed and ran away!" The turquoise eyed boy yelled out.

"Seriously?"

"No Eren, you were the one who started all of this." The blonde boy said in a calm yet firm tone.

Eren took a small pause before continuing, looking like the poor blonde had betrayed his trust.

"Well, she can't just come back and act like nothing happened!Of course I'm going to be angry!"

The blonde boy sighed.

"Eren, I doubt she wanted something like that to happen, besides if someone is supposed to be angry, it's her. God knows what would have happened if he didn't find her when he did..."

...

Their voices got more and more muffled as they kept walking.

"W-what? Who is he? And what do they mean he found me?..."

...

"What is going on here?"

...

When I finally had somewhat collected myself I was about to go back to the HQ when I heard a new pair of voices in the distance.

"Again?"

As the voices came closer I peeked around the tree once again and saw the people the voices belonged to, and I was surprised to say the least.

"The guy from the hospital, and some blonde man? What are they doing out here?"

My curiosity got the better of me, so I stayed still to hear them talking.

"Levi, I assure you we are doing everything we can to-" The tall man's sentence was cut off by some kind of growling sound coming from Levi's throat.

"What you and the pathetic military police are doing is not enough, they could be halfway out of the walls by now!" Levi spat out at the tall man.

They made a little stop right by the tree I was hiding behind, making me hold my breath in fear of them finding me.

"Just my luck..."

"Now now Levi calm down, your complaining won't do any good. The military police are more than capable of handling something like this." The tall man said with a very collected tone.

"Tch, they have about the same IQ as a fucking titan. Even if something does go wrong here, I'm quick, and I'll be back before any real damage is done. " Levi tried to pursue his companion.

But it was no use, the tall man accompanying him had heard him and was now about to answer him.

"No, we both know you can't do that. You won't be going anywhere and that is final." The tall man replied in a firm tone.

Levi just tch'ed and started walking back to the HQ, the man quietly following him.

Once they had walked a decent distance I finally released my breath I had held and filled my lungs with new, fresh air.

"What was all of that about?"

Walking back to the HQ questions started to clutter my mind, and with no answers, they just kept coming.

Who found me?

Who are they searching for?

What really happened to me?

Why don't I remember anything?

...

I made my way through the HQ halls and went straight to my room.

I locked my door, and changed into my sleepwear. Then sat down on the edge of my bed.

All of these questions were really bugging me, and the fact that I had no one to ask them about made it even worse.

...

"What do I do now? I have no one to ask and-"

- Knock knock -

My thoughts were interrupted when a soft knock came from the locked door.

"Who would want to visit me?"

I stood up and unlocked it.

Behind the door stood the blonde boy, who I heard was named Armin.

"Armin..." I said, clearly confused.

"Y-y/n... I was just... eh..."

When I noticed Armin was struggling with his words, I searched through my mind for something that would help him.

"Do you want to come in?" Was the only thing that came to mind, which would hopefully make it a little bit less awkward for him.

"S-sure..." He replied as I let him in.

I closed the door again and sat down on my bed. Armin carefully sat down beside me, looking a little more confident.

He looked up and met my e/c eyes with his blue ones. "I'm really sorry for how Eren acted earlier, you know how he is..."

Even though I had no idea how Eren usually is I nodded my head, not wanting to go any further than that.

Armin began to speak again, looking down at his hands.

"I also wanted to see how you were doing, all of us have been really worried about you..."

"That's really kind of you but I'm fine, really!" I said with a little smile on my lips, hoping that would be enough to satisfy his concern.

His head suddenly shot up, his eyes piercing through mine.

"Really? Because I don't think you are telling the truth." He said as he took my hands in his.

"W-what are you talking about?" My voice was tinted with a little bit of desperation.

"This isn't good..."

"Y/n, you know you can tell me anything. What is going on?" Armin asked me with a concerned voice.

"N-nothing is going on, I swear!" Now the desperation was very clear in your voice, and he noticed. I bit my lip as I moved my gaze away from him.

"Game over"

"Stop denying it, you haven't been acting like yourself, and ever since...that happened..." His voice suddenly trailed off when he looked away, leaving an uncomfortable silence behind.

...

"damn..."

Armin I'm sorry but, I...I don't know what's wrong.....I can't remember anything..." My voice was slightly shaking, surprising both myself and Armin.

I looked back at him and he Instantly pulled me into a hug. "Oh y/n, you should've told me sooner!" He whispered into my ear while I was trying to process what was going on.

Warm

His embrace was just.....so warm...... I couldn't resist the urge so I slowly hugged back and nuzzled my face into his shoulder.

We sat in a comfortable silence enveloped us, and I wasn't going to break it.
