"And from what I've heard, you come from somewhere in Trost." Armin informed me as we were walking towards our next sparring session.

After meeting up in the library earlier we just barely made it to the mess hall in time to get our food.

Some of my supposedly called friends were quite concerned about our late arrival, but we brushed it off as a trip to the infirmary for my injuries.

"Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly where in Trost, not even Jean who grew up there had ever seen you before. What makes this even more interesting is this rumor going around, which says that you and the corporal actually grew up together! That would also explain why you two seem so close. You see, at first glance you and the corporal's relationship is just like any other, but with close observation you're able to notice the change in his behavior when he's around you and-" Armin's long rant was put to an end as we arrived at the training grounds, and a not-so-happy looking corporal was giving poor Armin a death glare.

"Looks like someone didn't get their beauty sleep..."

"Take your damn place brats." Levi's monotone voice ordered us. To his words Armin went to his little group, consisting of Mikasa and Eren. I was about to do the same, when I remembered the silly fight Eren and I had.

It really was stupid of me to get so mad at him. The poor boy was just so worried about me he let his anger take over. I should apologize for acting as I did and not understanding what he was trying to imply.

But there's a slight problem, which is my pride. Apologizing to him would damage it, and I am not looking to do that right now. It's already pretty bruised, and I don't even know why. So I'm gonna have to lay low for a while, and maybe when some time has passed I'll befriend Eren and the others.

"It's probably better if I find someone else to stand  with for now"

I looked around for a bit and found an empty spot beside a friendly-looking cadet. As I got closer I also noticed the male cadet had a few freckles on his cheeks.

"Cute"

The sound of my boots against the hard ground had attracted the freckled boy's attention. He looked around, and when he saw me walking towards him he smiled, a very cute smile if I say so myself.

"Hello y/n! It's been a while!" The freckled boy greeted me as I took the spot beside him. "Uh yeah, it has..." I replied while looking at the ground. Hiding a small blush, this freckled boy was too adorable to handle.

"So are you excited for training?" His attempt at small talk was as cute as his freckles, and I just couldn't ignore someone as adorable as him. So I decided I'd just have to play along for now.

I took a few seconds to think of a good reply.

...

"It's the same as it's always been, and by now it's become a tad bit, repetitive." He chuckled at my response, damn even his laugh is irresistible. "You know y/n, training might seem boring, but it's really just a great opportunity. And isn't it delightful to see everyone working so hard to get better for humanity's sake?"

"Well I certainly did not expect that coming from him."

"I've never really thought about it like that before, but I guess your right. It is kind of nice."
