Mother's Agony

Second month,
When I bought a PT,
And it went out with two lines,
Positive.

Third month,
When I always feel dizzy,
Everytime I woke up.

Fourth month,
And I can clearly see your head from the monitor.

Fifth month,
When I can already see your arms,
And tiny limbs.

Sixth month,
When I knew your gender.
You're a girl.

Seventh month,
When I am always worried,
Worried for a miscarriage, co'z you're not holding tight in my belly.
I am also thinking of your name that time.

Eighth month,
And unfortunately, you came out.
You are too early so they placed you in the incubator for one month.

Nine month,
When my prayers were answered,
And that was the first time I held you in my arms.

Half year,
When I always woke up at night
Just to check you on your crib.

First year,
I withdraw half of my savings just to give you a grand and nice first birthday celebration.

Fifth year,
I was so excited on your first step on school.
I had to wake up early so I could bring you there, even if I am late on work.

Seventh year,
When you're already in gradeschool.
I had to work harder so I could give you the best in life.
I enrolled you in a private school co'z you're skin is so sensitive on a warm room.

Thirteenth year,
You were already in highschool.
The first time that I cried for secretly knowing you having a boyfriend.
I confronted you, but you just hated me.

Eighteenth year,
I was hoping that you will graduate again with honor.
I left my work and applied to that company where you were studying in college, so that you can have a discount in your college's tuition.

Twenty-fifth year,
When you graduated in college.
I was so proud of you and even gave you a gift. But you appreciated more the gift that your boyfriend gave you.

Twenty-seventh year,
When I was so happy co'z you passed your second-taked board exam.

Twenty-eighth year,
When you're finally hired to a big company.

I was already in sixty's when I knew that I have a cancer in my brain.
You were in your thirty's that time.

And now, I am contented
for I know that you're living a better life.

Now, I am only seeing you from this album,
Co'z I could no longer see you,
for you left me here.

Here in the Home for the Aged.
