7. Consequences

A month later...

Jen's POV

I woke up with the sudden feeling of throwing up...the first thought that came into my mind is, What if I'm pregnant?

I would love to have a baby with Alex and the last time we had sex was like 1 or 2 months ago, but also, 1 month ago that incident with Beau happened...what if I'm pregnant with his baby? I'm scared, I don't want to tell Alex until I know if it's his.

Alex came into the room and got me out of my thoughts.

Alex: Hi baby, are you okay? You look worried.

Jen: I'm okay, don't worry.

Alex: Okay

I hate lying to him but I'm scared of what can happen if I tell him about my pregnancy and the possibility of being pregnant with Beau's baby.

Alex had a business meeting so I decided that it was the perfect opportunity to go to the hospital and see if I'm pregnant and who the father is.

At the hospital...

Doctor: Well Miss Lopez, you are completely healthy and you are 4 weeks pregnant, congratulations.

If I'm 4 weeks pregnant that means that there's a chance it's Beau's baby...I'm still not completely sure, I hope it's Alex's baby

Jen: And can you tell me who's the father?

Doctor: I have to make you some DNA tests, the results will be ready tomorrow.

Jen: Okay, thanks

Tomorrow...okay, I think I can wait one day, I'm nervous but I feel that Alex is the father.

I hope he is.

I got home and the kids were home with Alex, we decided to go visit my mom because my sister Lynda and her daughter Lucie were there and the kids love to hang out with Lucie.

In the car...

We were a couple of minutes away from my mom's when a car suddenly stops and a guy with a black hoodie starts walking towards our car.

Emme: Mom why is that guy walking towards us?

Jen: I don't know baby, everyone stays calm.

Unknown: Get off the car

As this guy said that, he took a gun and pointed it towards Alex.

Jen: Kids, get of the car and go somewhere far and safe from this guy, we'll handle everything.

First Alex got off the car and I told the kids to get out, then I got off the car and I thought this guy would just steal the car and leave but he stayed there still pointing the gun at Alex's head.

Jen: What do you want?

Unknown: I thought you already knew...

Jen: Did Beau send you to do this?

Unknown: I just do what my boss tells me.

Jen: Please don't do this...

Then he starts to walk towards me and grabbed my arm tightly, hurting me.

Alex: Leave her alone. Don't you dare to touch or hurt her!

Unknown: Mm...no, now you are going to shut up and you...sweet Jlo, are going to come with me.

Jen: No! Get off of me you son of a bitch.

Unknown: Shut up!

Jen: Please...you don't have to do this...just let me leave, and tell your fucking boss that no matter what he does I'm NOT getting back with him. I'm with Alex now.

Unknown: I can't do that, he would kill me. He told you, Jennifer, you go back with him...or you and your new sweet family will suffer the consequences.

Alex: You are not going to hurt her or our kids! Hurt me if that's what you want to...but just...don't hurt her.

Jen: Alex...

Unknown: Aw, now the big guy wants to risk his own life to keep her sweet little pie safe...so cute...but, unfortunately for you both...that's not gonna happen...or, maybe it would, who knows who the next victim will be...

Jen: Don't you fucking hurt him!!

At this point I was already crying, I'm scared...really scared, I don't want him to hurt me or Alex, I just can't stand the idea of him getting hurt, I just love him so much...

The guy then pushed me and tried to get me inside the car but I tried my best to stay out of the car.

Then Alex jumped into the guy and starts punching him in the face, they start fighting for a couple of minutes until I hear a gunshot...
